The steak salad has become one of my new favorite meals! The steak is amazing (flavorful, yummy marinade, cooked well and super tender!) and the lettuce is always fresh and crisp. The employees are always helpful and kind. I go to the Riverton location frequently and the customer service is top notch. This location was clean, friendly staff, fast, and efficient! Got the yakisoba bowl 🍲 with chicken, all the veggies, secret Tiger 🐅 sauce, and extra jalapeños for the spice! Food was fresh and satisfied my lunch cravings - can’t go wrong with Zao! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My husband and I tried this place out for the first time today and we were so happy with our experience! They give you SO much food for your money, and offer take out containers if you have left overs (which I definitely did). Everything was super fresh, and I loved that you can customize each entree option completely to your taste! I had the chicken rice bowl which was fabulous, and my husband had the yakisoba noodles with steak and he was really happy as well. The staff were incredibly kind and the cashier was especially friendly and professional. The restaurant was also quite clean and well kept. We will be back!

The family tried a variety of the options on the menu! Zao tacos with steak, soup with chicken, a bowl with chicken, and a bahn mi wrap with chicken. I really love their food. I always get tofu tacos or a tofu salad. I’m picky about tofu, but theirs is consistently prepared so well. It hits the spot every time. My only qualm is that they never give me enough jalapeños, but that’s just because I like a weird amount of jalapeños. Haha. Both of their salad dressings are delicious too and I always struggle to decide which one to get. Don’t skip the corn - it’s delicious and uniquely flavored. First time trying Zao and it was great! I had a noodle bowl with steak and yellow curry. The veggies taste fresh and the flavor is tasty! It was very filling. Customer service st this location is geat as well. Both employees I talked to were very helpful and nice.

Zao Asian Cafe is great! It’s kind of like a chipotle but Asian. My go to is usually the yellow curry with chicken but I’ve also had the steak tacos and they’re very good. Everything is always very fresh, and there’s lots of options to add to your tacos or curry. The only topping I don’t like is their broccoli. It pretty consistently tastes kinda burnt. But you don’t have to add it. TIP: if you’re gonna get curry, I would ask for a little extra sauce. You get quite a bit of rice and toppings and the one serving of sauce can be a little thin. In a word, great! Being from Virginia, I had never heard of this place before. It's a build-your-own style eatery, with plenty of choices, but not too many. I had brown rice with the chicken meatballs, broccoli, curry and a few other toppings. It was absolutely delicious. Glad I came across this place during my time in Utah.
