I don't live in Fairlawn but travel to the bakery whenever I am in New Jersey. It is the epitome of the old fashioned local bakery. The best is the chocolate cheese Danish. Everything is super fresh and the workers are incredibly friendly, always giving a little taste and impeccable service. Love this bakery! They have some desserts that are dairy, but the rest is Parve (might be vegan? Depends on whether or not they used eggs). 11/22/23 They have the cutest turkey-shaped cakes. We just go married recently and one of my guest was in charge of the desserts. They highly recommended buying cookies from Zadies. I trusted their decision and was very pleased with the quality and how delicious the cookies were. A special thank you to the owners Ann and Larry who donated the boxes of cookies to our wedding. My guests enjoyed them so much.

Been sampling rainbow cookies from across the tristate area. This is the spot to go to if u want the best (that i found ) Challah bread also a hit here. The Cherry pie was a hit !

Staff is always very friendly and helpful, you never feel overwhelmed or rushed. There is SOO much to try here and at the very reasonable prices, you can. The challah bread is a family favorite, as well as the rugelach. Everything is high quality and consistently good. As authentic as it gets. As soon as you walk in the door, you are enveloped with an aroma "to die for." Then the hard part: choosing between the rugulah or the babka or the breads or the pastries. Each is truly amazing. The challah pulls apart as if it is aware of how awesome it is. Zadie's is the best Jewish bakery! Babka (chocolate or cinnamon) is incredible. Kokash (chocolate or cinnamon) is amazing. Their rugulah is insane! All the breads ... omg. Challah, rye, onion, incredible. Pastries are fantastic. I've never had better. I drive half an hour to get there. I love every minute of the anticipation of walking in their door, lol. I've tasted lots of their baked goods over the years, and without exception, each has been fantastic! Their challah and their cheese danish are simply beyond. 😋😋😋😋😋 (Would have been five stars, but 5 "yummy" emojis seemed more appropriate.
