This is a gem of a find. We walked here from a nearby resort as we wanted good local food, and this place more than delivered. Friendly service from the owner and her kids. Food was excellent! Even the plain jasmine rice was so good I finished it all. The mixed fried rice, and the stir fry kale and pork on rice are good options, although the latter is actually kai lan with pork rind. I don’t usually like pork rind but this one was crispy and very flavourful. Highly recommended. There are no prices on the menu so I think the total price we paid for dinner is more expensive than what the locals pay. It’s still cheaper than in the resorts though! I'd give 11 stars if I could. It was such an excellent opportunity to get more of the culture and Thai food. Well... you don't want to eat burgers and pizzas and drink American beers when in Thailand, do ya? Anyway, we saw it on Google Maps and decided to come and check it out. It was not disappointing at all! The food is excellent, cheap, cold beers, and the owner is lovely! And the cats are super cute as well! It worth going there! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Chanced upon this little restaurant while looking for a scooter to rent. Run by the very friendly & chatty proprietor, Mdm Jeab (or Mama Jeab) who speaks fluent English. Scooter prices are good for an almost new Honda Click with only 500km on the odometer! Perfect place to enjoy a meal or have a beer while soaking the Thai vibes that this place offers. Recommended! Me and my mate were staying up in Khao Lak but travelled down this way to attend the annual Circoloco event and after reading a few reviews I decided to pop in here for some food earlier on in the day while checking out the area for later on… Well the food was amazing, the prices were great and the owner, her daughter and all the staff are so friendly that we sat and chatted for ages! We asked if they were open for Circoloco and looking forward to all the people coming and she told us they had a stall up there near the entrance at Baba Beach Club so we decided to come back later that evening for a couple of drinks before we went in. Both mother and daughter looked after us so well. They let us park our car and looked after it and they even looked after my little bicycle which I had bought to attend the venue in style! 😂 If you are in the area I highly recommend The Wooden Bridge Bar for great food and cold drinks in a relaxed and very friendly environment. This was the loveliest stall owned by the loveliest lady. We walked here from our nearby resort to rent a motorcycle and was met with the kind lady who owns the stall. Price for the motorbike was very reasonable and deposit was good too. We went to chat to the lady every day as she was so nice. She told us about nearby places we could visit like the turtle beach, waterfall and Samet Nangshe. We got to explore on the bike and she even allowed us to have it for longer than agreed at first her words "if you happy I'm happy" really recommend hiring from her instead of nearby hotels as you'll leave here having made a new friend and pay a lot less than at the hotel. In addition to the above, the lady also helped us organise a taxi for a lot cheaper than the hotel or taxi stop, to our next destination throught Hello Natai Taxi who was clean, with excellent and professional customer service as well. Price per person ฿300–400 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Such a great surprise to find this place nestled amidst fancy resorts. Authentic (and delicious) Thai food, good atmosphere and the price is really good too, perfect to scape the overpriced resort restaurants in the area. We loved everything about this place. What a great find much more than a bar great for cheap food and drinks if staying close by. Also take away beer and snacks much cheaper than the local hotels . They also have scooters for rent cheap cheap Price per person ฿200–300 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
