Great atmosphere, cool history, awesome service, really good beers on tap, and both the meals we tried (brisket sandwich and chicken sandwich) were out of this world. We came in hoping to find something passable since there are only a few options in the area, and left highly impressed and sad we weren't in town long enough to go back. Definitely recommend! Stopped by with my brothers as we were passing through town. The steak, ribs, burger, and pork rind nachos were all awesome! Not sure we’ll ever be in this area again, but we will be back if that’s the case! Great service too! Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We came here while passing through on a hunting trip nearby. Was absolutely one of the best places around. Food was outstanding. The steak was in the top 5 of all time steaks. I’ve been to some high end steak houses and this place has them beat. Don’t listen to the idiot who said this place was “high end.” It’s a very relaxed family atmosphere with phenomenal food and service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Perfect hole in the wall steakhouse. Did not have any drinks. But the food was great the service was amazing I like the hours you can see it’s a good thing because you don’t have those servers that are grumpy working doubles like other places. I ordered a ribeye cooked perfect how I wanted it waitress keep a good service from the start. Will be coming back. Except for the steaks, prices are good. They have a short menu, but the variety is impressive. Duck wontons, Salmon steaks, pumpkin deserts, etc. They have a full bar and plenty of beers on tap. They let me sample some to find the one that I wanted. I ordered the pork chop with mashed red potatoes and mixed vegetables. The flavor of everything was great. They put a chutney sauce on the pork and it added a sweet embellishment to the meal. The major problem I had was that the pork was extremely dry. Also, my friend ordered the burger with cheese sauce and he ordered his burger medium well; they cooked it medium rare. They do offer a happy hour (5-6) and they have a military discount.

Windy Peaks Steakhouse had great ambiance went there after work one day. Ordered a rib eye and it was cooked perfectly medium with great seasoning. The potato came loaded and was perfect. Good food, good service, and good ambiance! We got the ribeye with mashed potatoes and added some mushrooms. The fried green beans made a great extra side dish and it was more than enough food for the two of us. They have a beer menu on the tv screen and also physical menus. The sampler of 4x4oz pours allows you to really figure out what's good before you commit to one. We were pleasantly surprised by such a hip spot in a small town. Unexpected surprise in my hometown, great little restaurant on the main street. Great beer selection and food was good too, had the sliders with jalapeños, bun was underwhelming but burger was perfect. Definitely recommend, can't imagine there is a better place in Wheatland.

Stayed in town at Lewis Park. We were bummed to find out Windy Peaks was closed Sunday and Monday. The hours are 5-9pm. Food was good, had the burger. Beers were tasty and a good variety. The bartender was nice to let us stay a little past 9pm to watch the Cubs playoff game.
