I had the French dip with provolone cheese. The roast beef is made in house and tastes delicious. Very tender. Overall great food and atmosphere. A Bloomington staple for decades and one of the best roast beef sandwich shops in the West Metro. My wife prefers their open-faced plates which I've only tasted but will try a full order next time. Fast and friendly service. Delicious roast beef sandwiches and blue plate special. I put their bbq sauce on everything. Nice old diner atmosphere. They even have a working push button juke box with classic hits.

I ordered a Blue Plate (hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and corn). It was extra medium in terms of quality and flavor, to me. They did give plenty of gravy though!The price was right, and they had a good setup for those that want to stay distant while waiting for togo orders. Make sure to get cracker with your chili, it is soup! Glad I tried it, I have no complaints. It was pretty decent.

No frills, straightforward sandwiches that are the best! The roast beef literally melts in your mouth. And if you feel underwhelmed by the thick hamburger roll, that just means that you forgot the au jus. So go back to the counter, order some au jus and start dipping!
