My guest and I visited this morning. We were immediately greeted when we walked in. When we sat at our table, our server immediately approached us. She took our drink orders, which were delivered promptly. It took me a couple of minutes to decide what I wanted to order and our server gave us plenty of time with no rush. Our order was taken and delivered in a timely manner. The food was prepared exactly as we ordered it. As we were eating, we observed the staff to be friendly and they seemed to work well together. I love Waffle House and I had the most amazing waitress named My. She is the absolute best! I haven't been in a few months but let me tell you about her. She remembered very lil detail about my order. For her to remember that I like the strawberry jelly for my toast, the pecans in my waffle and my bacon cooked a certain way. Man she is absolutely amazing! She is attentive to detail has a great personality and always smiling. Y'all go see my girl! This was our first ever visit to a Waffle House since moving from the West Coast to Oklahoma. Myesha, also known as MY, was our server and she was incredible! She’s been here 13 years and smiles the whole time she’s serving you. She’s kind, hospitable, and makes you feel like you’ve known her your whole life! Other diners coming in, obviously regulars, get big hugs from My! Watching the other servers with diners are all also very friendly and calling regulars by name. Incredible service and good food!! It wasn't that busy this last time, but it was freezing cold inside! Maybe that's why the cook didn't get the order correct...? Lol After our food was corrected, it was really good! I was a bit concerned by the condensation from the ac vent, dripping on the counter, right by a gentleman's plate.😳 The waitress merely put a towel down by his plate, because she "didn't want any of that nasty water dripping in his food."😬 So glad I spotted this location, while we were out running around Saturday! It's hard to find a decent place to eat, late at night. (That's just been our experience each time we've waited til we were heading home late, to grab a bite.) Our waitress was excellent, very nice and polite! The place was clean and the people seemed genuinely happy to be there. That's much appreciated after a long day, and you're not looking for something to merely soak up a bunch of alcohol! I was so anxious to dig in, I forgot to take a pic. Waffle House has always been one of my favorite places to eat. The best thing about it and something I alway look forward to is the Waffles! Unfortunately they’ve changed them at the Tulsa area locations. New waffle irons and they are a lot different and not near as good. Not really good at all. It’s my understanding it’s just the Tulsa and surrounding area locations owner (he owns them all from what I was told) who has decided to switch. The good news is I guess I’ll be able to eat at other WH and get the good waffles there. Just sucks I won’t be eating at my local locations anymore. If I could give negative stars I would. There is nothing like walking into a restaurant and there is a dog being passed around to several different customers. It was a puppy, NOT A SERVICE DOG!!! I will not ever be back to this establishment again!! I will be letting the health department know this as well! The waffle I ordered had very few chocolate chips on it. The bacon had to be sent back because cooking bacon has become a challenge for the cook on duty. Everything on my plate was terrible. I paid $30 for the food. Next time I’ll stay home and cook my own food. Do better. Very disappointing start to my Friday. Servers were great! Cook had an attitude with the staff that had me irritated. He sent BLACK burnt bacon to the table despite server protests, and I’m pretty sure the patty meat was soured. Over easy eggs came out just shy of over hard. While paying watched cook burn the next tables bacon charcoal black while ignoring server calling for it to be pulled. Food is good and better than one would expect. However the employees must be deaf as they constantly yell at each other when they are just talking and laughing as loud as possible across the entire restaurant. Not a quiet place to enjoy a meal. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1
