Steve the owner of this out of the way Bakery is a passionate baker, mate, the steanncheese not a let down in sight, their cream doughnut, crispy if you like, I like mine a bit softer on the outside but it's still good!! While I was in the shop you have customers with their own faves, buying up bacon and egg pie, buttered chicken pie. If only this shop was across the ditch in Sydney!!! Underrated bakery. Easily one of the best in Auckland. *EDIT: Have been coming here for years and previously rated this 5 stars and always recommended this place to anyone looking for a good bakery in the area, but the quality has dropped off significantly in the past year. Being a loyal local I still showed them support but the last straw was the two cold, rock hard, and stale pies that they sold to me today at 10am when they should be hot and fresh. They looked like big Ben pies that had been sitting for days in the dairy pie warmer. Too bad i didn't notice until I was home. So disappointing they used to be a very good bakery. Won't be coming here anymore. 1 star for the food and 1 star for the service for selling me that trash. Food: 1 Service: 1

Bought a Bushman Pie this morning.. Was a bit let down to find that the pie was mostly filled with gravy & carrots, with a few bits of bacon & one small piece of beef, ONE. I remember back in the days the Bushman Pie was the Go-To. Used to have big chunks of meat in it. Nowadays it’s more like a Vege Pie. Please do better.
