In spite of listing opening hours 7am, it is 7:05 am and In am told they will open 7:30 am because coffee machine isn’t ready yet. That is in spite of the apparent “staff party” going on inside with loud music and socialising between staff. They just closed the door again in my face without any further explanation. Oh and the sign on the door reads: we are open, slide the door. Something like that. Perfect example of staff who are apathetic towards their employer and clients.

I ordered a smoothie with one extra sachet collagen in store a week ago. I noticed how the staff member added my one sachet to a large container to mix. She then poured my medium sized smoothie into a takeaway glass, handed it to me and took the rest to the back to drink themselves. When I confronted them, telling them that I did not get the full sachet in my smoothie, they did not understand my reasoning at all.
This morning I ordered a muffin through Mr D and it arrived rock hard.
So dissapointing.

Convenient and coffee is standard, staff not that friendly though. I also bought a blueberry and cranberry instant oats and it had nothing but oats in. Waste of money...
My favourite close to home coffee and breakfast/snack stop. The staff are energetic, the vibe is fresh and all items are always fresh and delicious. Walking distance to Majik forest too. Breakfast, lunch or on the go.

Google says they close at 3 on Sunday, we got there at 13:40 and they turned down all the customers after us and locked the doors. When I asked for a frioshake they said they can't make it, but then I pointed out that the customer before us, literally just got one and they gave an attitude, huffed, left the till without a word and came back to make it. They were quiet clearly upset that a paying customer would like to order something that they sell.
Even if the time is wrong on Google and they close at 2, how are you already closing up 20 minutes before that and turning down every customer.
Shocking attitude and service and I would strongly be considering performance review for the entire staff, this franchise won't last with the current staff there.

Coffee quality wrt taste has drastically deteriorated. Staff has lost their energy that brought the vibe to this establishment. As a long time patron I would have expected to be greeted when at the counter…. We are no strangers to this branch… been happening consistently for the past few months. At this rate I think it’s better to spend money elsewhere. Coffee is not an occasion at this branch any longer.

Looove spending my Discovery Miles here. Never had bad food or drinks here. One of favourite spots to stop for a lunch or a beverage before taking a walk in the Majik Forest.
Unfortunately, I need to update my review:
Some issues we keep facing:
* Their actual closing times are not what is listed on their Google Business page or on the Vida app.
*They don't place name cards next to the food being sold, and when you call it something you think it would be called or point to an item, the staff always pretend(?) to be highly confused about what you want and then speak to each other in their language.
*Whenever we want to use our Discovery points and loyalty points on the app, the staff are apparently confused and something usually goes wrong. We've lost our points more than once. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, but it happened once again this weekend, and I feel we need to speak up. My husband wanted to order 2 smoothies and 2 sandwiches and pay by using R47 Discovery Miles and the rest with his card on the app. He also told them to add a R10 tip. On the app the total was R224 + R10 tip = R234. He scanned his app to pay with his bank card and then noticed on the slip that the total of the items were R224 and "Tips" were listed as R57. In other words, they used our Discovery points as tips (R47 + R10). We should have paid R224 + R10 tip - R47 = R187. It says R47 Discovery points were subtracted, but we obviously did not receive the discount, because it was added as a tip. My husband took this up with the staff member, but she was "confused" and then told him that something was wrong on my husband's side and not on theirs. My husband did not want to continue making a scene and other people were still waiting to order, so he left. But we still have the slip as well as the app screenshot. Since similar situations have happened in the past, it feels quite dodgy. Either that, or the staff desperately need better training.

I had the absolute best customer service experience at this particular Vida. The manager and staff are wonderful - I really felt like they were prepared to go the extra mile. The coffee is of course always great. When I order something to eat my usual go-to is the apple, date and cinnamon muffin - it's super tasty and I believe me when I tell myself that it's a healthy option 😉

Usually go to the Vida E in Welgemoed on a (near) daily basis. Today I went to the Majik branch, they overcharged me for a vanilla iced latte (70 rand verses 42 or whatever) and then proceeded to tell me I COULD NOT redeem points because I had already paid??? The cash was still in my hand. To only receive 30 rand back and the teller to have no cooking clue why . Vida Welgemoed will let me run back in to redeem points if I’ve forgotten. Get it together. Also, there was so much vanilla syrup it’s not even drinkable & iced coffee was warm and the ice had melted before I even got to the car and it’s raining today? Never again. - this is a chain, you have a standard to uphold.
