Started going yrs ago. Mostly older generation, now everyone is welcomed. I'm retired navy, lately getting lots of navel vets. Most veteran seals I encountered since leaving military Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Not a big crowd but everyone is friendly and easy going. Fun Karaoke on Saturday night. Cold beer and mixed drinks.

Thank you again Helen. This VFW is a wonderful place to have any kind of reception Etc. The staff there is wonderful. Thanks to all who made this such a nice party.

One of the few bars you can smoke indoors. Cozy and clean. A hangout for an older crowd but they are friendly and amusing. Steak dinner Wednesday; Karaoke Friday and Saturday.

This is the second time we have been there. We're visiting family members in Texas. They sure make you feel welcome, not at all like a stranger. Totally enjoyed ourselves.

Newark has a vow well they get three stars just for the thought. But for real there is no such place they have to be speaking of the vfw in Avondale if that's the case great nice cozy bar but lay off the karaoke every now and then, it's just the same ppl with the same cracked creaky voice singing the same boring old songs. Since Lola left there has been no reason to go she was an amazing bartender vfw sure did lose out on a great one
