I can add this place one of my favorite places list. Octopus as a starter was very tender and delicious. Main courses (fish and pasta and mashed potatoes) were very good and fresh also. The best cuisine I've ever tried. I got no photos, but fish cooked with potatoes is one of the best. Morale of staffs and hospitality are fantastic. If I visit Malta once again, I will drop by here without doubts. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €50+

A friendly family run restaurant. All the food was freshly cooked. The owner and staff were very knowledgeable and the host gave good advice as you ordered your meal. The recommended sea bass cooked in salt was just the best i have ever had. Our friends enjoyed short rib beef, which was tasty and tender. In fact, it was so good we have booked again. The restaurant was very busy when we went. We didn’t book a table but the waiter said if we come back in 20 minutes then they can get a table for us. At first the service was very slow and they didn’t prepare the table for us. Later once they noticed that we were waiting and getting a bit frustrated. They finally told us to sit on the table and the servers were nice. Before the meal they bring warm bread with Hummus and olives. This was good. The meals we got was the Beef Wellington and the seafood Linguine. The Beef Wellington was great. The meat was juicy and tender on the inside and the sauce that came with it was phenomenal. The second platter was the seafood Linguine and it was also delicious. The seafood was fresh and the sauce was really amazing too. The staff and the owner greeted us and also asked if everything was good a couple of times. I definitely recommend this place but book in advance. I also recommend coming earlier so that they don’t run out of lobster like they did when I went. Enjoy. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €50+

I travel to Malta every year, and when I do I have to visit Venus restaurant at least once, I’ve been going to this place for longer than I can remember! The service, food and ambiance is always 5* plus from this family run restaurant. They always have amazing specials on with lots of fresh fish in addition the amazing menu, and from the minute you walk in you the warmest friendly welcome from the Curmi family! The restaurant is also styled with tasteful decor, perfect lighting and complimented by lovely background music at just the right level. I’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants in Malta over my lifetime and I can’t help always going back Venus. It’s definitely my favorite and one of the best, if not, THE best on the island in my opinion! Just had a fantastic meal here. We decided not to have a starter - ghank goodness - or we wouldn't be able to walk. I had duck breast and my husband had the short rib. Both were exceptional. Amazing food and service. We had the octopus to start and the rabbit ravioli and rib eye as mains. Food was sooooo good. Service was also outstanding and really made us feel special. We stumbled across this restaurant on our honeymoon and, without giving any indication of why we were in Malta (it was 8 pm on a busy Saturday night] they went out of their way to accommodate us & make us feel welcome. Every staff member we interacted with had the time to chat with us and make us feel welcome & special. The food was second to none, the best of our holiday so far, service was just as impressive, we'll be back again before we leave Malta on this visit. The food and service were amazing. Good for fish, but also meat. Not sure on veggie options. Good wine also. A nice upmarket restaurant, so if you’re looking for cheap and cheerful (pizza etc), look elsewhere.
