I went this morning with friends and was very disgusted. I've gone in the past and fabulous food, it's amazing. But today the lady at the register who picks and packs the food orders was running her fingers through her hair and scalp. I saw her go to the sink thinking she was going to wash her hands but she proceeds to wet her hands and splash water around on her face and then to run her wet hands through her hair again. She did not wash her hands and didn't use any soap and then went back to the register asking us what we'd like from the display case. If we asked for anything she would have just grabbed the food with her hands and there were no gloves around either. Very unsanitary and unsafe for an establishment handing food. It's a shame because the food IS good but I was couldn't bring myself to buy anything after seeing that.

Although the place is small, I really like the way they make their Chicken Empanadas and Ube pandesal, banana and camote cue, bonete, and señorita bread better than other Valerios I’ve been. The staff is not so cheerful except if the one who has a pixie cut! I ought to ask her her name so I can put it on another review.

Aleng Babalena is the store owner here..... she sell fresh pandesal there pandesal is not really good.... her baba is very long
Always a friendly smile as you come in. Their pandesal is so good, and there is a difference from others. The bread with cheese inside is always a HIT at work. Never can get enough! Their prices are just right. Does not hurt the pocket.
I have been coming here for years thanks to my grandkids. There bread is so fresh. My kids like the coconut balls with the glaze. Will always be one of my favorites.
Fresh baked pan de sal is what I usually come for but end up buying so much more. Everything tastes amazing.

Something yummy's baking in the oven! Valerio's is a local Pilipino bakeshop that I've been frequenting for many years. They don't offer wedding cakes, cake pops, macarons etc., but what they do offer is fresh breads (like the ubiquitous pan de sal), assorted kakanin (rice desserts such as kalamay & biko) & some savory dishes hot or in the refrigerator. People rave about their chicken empanadas, Pinoy-style w/ raisins. Myself, I love their hopia (monggo, ube & red bean are what I buy). In the morning & until they run out for the day, Valerio's sells taho, a sweet tofu dessert w/ brown sugar & sago pearls. It's a dish usually eaten warm, but I also like it cold. Whenever I shop for groceries at Seafood City, I come by & see if there's any left. Parking can be bad on the weekends, w/ everyone shopping for groceries. During the week, not bad at all. Side note - there is a Fruit monger selling fruits out of his van in front of the store. He'll have whatever's in season. I had the chance to try cherimoya for the first time here a long while ago & it instantly became my favorite fruit. I now have 5 grafted trees in 5 gal containers in the backyard, because they are very expensive to buy (around $5/lb) & are very tasty. Matamis! (Sweet in Tagalog).
