A bar with an American university theme in the basement of the American Club. The food is okay, nothing special. I liked my reuben, though perhaps it could have had a little more meat. Same with the brisket. The fish & chips are a miss. Go to Smith’s for that. The nachos are average. Churros are nice. They do have a good selection of craft beers and a wide range of other drinks. Service is also good. Prices are also reasonable but then it’s a club bar, so you’re paying on the front end.

Not my usual kind of place, where it has a very mid-west kind of vibes. Upon walking into the bar, you see a lot of school flags from all over USA, hung around the walls. You see sports games playing on the TVs. Beyond it all, you see a lot of older men hanging out around the tables. Sometimes with their partners, sometimes with their fellow buddies. Came for quick drinks, before facing their closing time. If not, we'd have gotten more drinks, as we always do anyways.

One of the popular place most American club members have a casual drink or two at. Post renovation provided a more comfortable vibe. - Do allow smokers to smoke in a separate space. Consider how other folks do not fancy nor have a choice to be or not to be a secondhand smoker.

Recently renovated but collegiate sports bar ambience still in tact. Hundreds of school pennants adorn the walls. Bar was relocated from main floor to basement. Don’t worry if you drink too much... there are two elevators. Good central location on Claymore. Weekday happy hours are awesome —- free guacamole, chips, veggies, salsa. Tiger Tuesday is $3 a pop for half pint. Sorry folks it’s members only so make friends with a member. Decent bar food, generous servings. Lots of expat couples and locals. Friendly and lively. Only critique is service. They tend to get backed up when they’re busy. Very friendly server named Andy will serve you quickly if you call him.
