Try nicely cooked bacon and tasty quesadillas. This bar has the good fruit smoothies selection. Prices here are reported to be democratic. The atmosphere is calm, as clients see it. But a number of guests who use Google didn't give Tropical Smoothie Cafe a high rating.

The food and smoothies are delicious, however, every time without fail, the food is sloppy (often worse than the below picture) and it’s a big mess to eat it. The employees are okay but sometimes moody and seem to have a hard time hiding that they’d rather be anywhere else. I’ve never really had a positive experience, but I do continue to come back for the delicious smoothies. I would come a lot more often if the employees were nicer and if the food wasn’t such a mess to handle. I love the smoothies though.

The smoothies are so good I wish they came in bigger sizes. We tried breakfast this week and the price was reasonable. We like the lunch menu better. Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread

They don’t follow the process to make smoothies consistent. They tried to make it faster and ruined the quality. I used to buy detox green island but quality keeps going down. Friendly staff. Clean restrooms. I placed my order ahead of time and still had to wait about 10 minutes for my order after arrival. I was a bit confused when I walked in because most locations have a shelf for to go orders, which they do not. Instead they keep the online orders refrigerated behind the counter. I think that's actually pretty cool.

The only reason this is not a 1 star is because the smoothies were delicious. Ordered online and showed up to pick up my smoothies. There was an employee in the back area working, presumably on making food products. I’m not sure. He didn’t acknowledge me at all. Was in the store for a solid 4-5 minutes before a young female employee came out from the back scratching her eyes and yawning as if she just woke up. She made it to the counter and asked if I had ordered yet. I pointed at the screen (there were 3 orders backed up at this point) and said I ordered online awhile ago. So she started making my smoothies. The entire time she was scooping the ingredients in, she is rubbing her nose and eyes. When it got to the part that she adds the ice, she ran out of ice before finishing my second smoothie. So she went back to get more ice. No problem obviously. But when she came back up with the bucket of ice, she swung it up and set it DOWN IN the freezer that they scoop the ice from!!! So the bottom of this ice bucket that I just watched her pickup off the floor was now sitting in the cooler that she would eventually dump the ice in!! I feel sorry for anyone that had to use that ice the rest of the night! I keep telling myself it’s the first time while I sip my smoothie. I won’t be back tho as this may be an every day occurrence at this location. Gross!!

My granddaughter loves Tropical Smoothie! She hasn't had a smoothie she didn't love! Her favorite sandwich is chicken bacon ranch flatbread with a bag of jalapeno chips! Staff is friendly! Our order has always been ready fast and accurate! Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10

Waited 45 minutes in the drive thru, 10 minutes of which at the window for two smoothies with no changes. Paid $20.25 for a $15.24 order and only recieved a penny in change and we're handed one smoothie. When we requested our second smoothie and proper change the employee became combative and another employee advised we return the next day to talk to the store manager as they somehow counted the register in two minutes. We eventually got the second smoothie but after showing the order number several times. We will definitly not be returning to this location.

First off I love the smoothies ..... when they are made right. Every other time I come to this location they screw up my order. My mom got us a gift card for Christmas, we went to use it but there was no money on the gift card! She checked with her bank and the money had been taken out of her account. So that was a whole thing... now that we have used that gift card up . I'm done. I will probably not go back to this location. I went today & they screwed my order up twice! I'll just drive to Colwater next time.

Not my best Tropical Smoothie experience. Customer service was great. I was greeted by every employee I could see when walking in the building. They acknowledged me quickly, went about their business while I decided what I wanted (loved this since my anxiety would have gone through the roof if they just stood and waited for me), and came back to take my order as soon as I let them know I was ready. But the SMOOTHie experience was anything but smooth. Chunky crushed ice and blueberry chuncks I had to chew, nonexistent strawberry, and the banana wasn't ripe at all. The banana part tasted like they blended up the peel. Only got through an inch of the drink before giving up any hope it might get better. Now I have this awful taste in my mouth. What a waste of $7+. This I why I hate this new tip as you pay thing and since it's on the pinpad, anxiety guilts me into considering a tip every time, otherwise I'm an a-hole. To combat this in most places with these setups, I tip the next time based on my last experience. Today, the experience walking in made me forget my own rule. Won't be doing that again. Not sure why these Battle Creek locations of major chains can't get the whole experience down. Customer service, convenience/speed, AND quality/taste. That's the point of paying people to do the things we don't want to. If I wanted a terrible smoothie, I would have made it myself!
