There are not words enough for how beautiful and wonderful this place is. The food is so beautifully presented and tastes even better. The drinks are cool and refreshing. The view is to die for. And best of all is the wonderful chapel and private event space. This restaurant really is a taste of old Mexico with the luxury of today. What Torote lacks on the food front is made up by the ambiance and atmosphere. Stunning views in a beautiful setting, this place has it made - almost. The food is underwhelming, under-seasoned and slightly tone deaf. The adult menu is trying too hard. The adobo braised mushrooms for example, while a great idea are bitter and under-seasoned. The filet, while beautifully cooked was also very under-seasoned, sliced in half for no reason and needed a complimentary sauce. The kids menu while priced appropriately is not kid-friendly enough. The pasta in tomato are shells with butter, parmesan and diced tomato chunks. Not something most children 10 and under will eat. Revamp the kids menu with spaghetti in tomato sauce. Grilled cheddar cheese sandwich. Cheeseburger (simple and plain). Fish and chips using the catch-of the day. Meal type Dinner Price per person $1,000+ Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

One of the best meals and most reasonably priced of the week. I loved the dog that walks around to get pets to... mostly she just laid by the kitchen area but she does make rounds to get some attention. Great food and atmosphere. There's even a farm! Dog friendly. Get away from the tourist bustle of Cabo and soak it all in from the hills. Food and drinks were top notch and cant wait to try more from the great menu. From apps to dinner to desert, unique cocktails, everything we tried was great. Extra bonus was awesome band. Most of the reviews talk about the view and the grounds, which are in fact lovely. However the food is really sub par for how hard they’re trying. We had a large table where most of the meats had to be sent back for being undercooked. The lamb was incredibly bland and mostly fat. Octopus absolutely rubber. Tomahawk not at all worth it. Our party mostly has refined tastes, but this place still missed the mark by a mile. Maybe just go for drinks and the view. The food isn’t worth it. I love this place. The views are incredible and the people/staff really know how to make you feel appreciated and welcomed. I come here frequently just to have a cocktail on the terrace or spoil myself with some of their amazing food. I recently celebrated my 31st birthday here with over 20 of my closest friends and the atmosphere was amazing. In fact, no one wanted to leave because the food, drinks, atmosphere and setting was just so amazing. The garden is a perfect backdrop for any special occasion and the staff was so incredibly helpful making payment super smooth and effortless. This is the place to go if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing off the beaten path. We started downstairs and eventually made it upstairs to the fire pits. The food and service were both great. The pool is tempting to get in, especially at night with the lights. New pleasant farm to table spot. A little out of the way but not too much at all. Best quiet views of all of CSL around. Nice friendly staff. Amazing food. I had the croque madame and a taste of the avocado 🥑 toast, as well as the eggs benedict. 😋 We'll be back.
