Nasty food, not authentic whatsoever, I asked for three carne asada tacos and the tortillas were dipped in frying grease, never seen that before. A small amount of beef in the taco made the tortilla look big. I asked the waitress to take my order back and to give me regular tortillas not dipped in grease. The carne asada had no flavor to it. Expensive and tasteless food. Not recommended. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The staff are great but the owner was rude. I’ve ordered a steak fajitas and a vegetables was overcooked, black. My friend, he was a bartender, ordered double Jameson with a ginger ale and he said it was a less than one shot in the cocktail. When my buddy told him about the cocktail he excluded it from the check but when I said him about the overcooked food he just went away. Worst Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been. Fresh and authentic Mexican food. I initially thought the place was packed as the parking lot was full. When I entered I was greeted by two kind ladies that kindly sat me at my table. The salsa was thick and very fresh. The vegetables were crunchy. The tortilla chips were also very fresh. The servers were great and the overall experience was well worth the 5 star rating. I highly recommend.

The staff was very good! The food was okay-ish. Not enough sauce for the enchiladas, but it was okay. The restaurant could use an update, and we were seated right at the front doors. Not impressed with that seating arrangement. It was ok overall, I would prefer other Mexican restaurants vs Toro Viejo. Great service! And great food! The salsa with the chips is spicy just the way it should be! And the queso is definitely worth the purchase! You might have to wait a little bit for a table when they are busy but I got there just in time for a table! Nothing was overcooked or undercooked that we got! Just a good place to get that craving of Mexican food!

My fish tacos we're average. Lacked some acidity. Everything was ok but their evening signature drinks. We ordered the coconut margarita drink. It was big, but it tasted of coconut syrup. That was a let down. Friendly staff. Good service. Conveniently close to our hotel.

Noticed we were charged an extra dollar for each item we ordered. Double checked the menu to make sure I was right. Also charged a service fee. It definitely adds up. We will never come back. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

We’ve been looking for a new place for awhile and someone said to give this place a shot. There was DEFINITELY something off about the salsa we got with our chips (that tasted very much like store bought). My husband said it tasted like fish but I thought it tasted like rotten tomatoes. Ordered a margarita that I’m pretty sure had the least amount of tequila in it they could’ve put to even consider it a margarita. Whenever I go to a new place I always order pork carnitas as a baseline. They were so dry I could barely choke them down, and when I was trying to get some sour cream to maybe help, the server never came back to the table so I could get some. My husband got a ribeye- so tough he could barely cut through it and his rice was burnt. Normally I don’t shoot a place down after just one try but so many things went wrong on so many levels that we won’t be back. I will say I did appreciate the happy waitress and the music.
