Had an amazing 20th anniversary dinner. Sat outside on the lovely patio. Our waiter, Adolfo, was truly the best we’ve ever had. His passion and enthusiasm for serving for the fine menu items was extraordinary. His recommendations were perfection. He described the preparation of each item with excitement that he had us excited to taste each dish. Food was amazing and unlike anything we’ve ever tasted. Had an absolutely amazing meal last night. Adolfo was an excellent server and recommended a great Italian wine to pair with our meal. The Zarandeado grouper tacos were easily the best fish tacos I’ve ever had (recommended by Adolfo). Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Wonderful dining experience. The complimentary hibiscus drink was a great way to kick off my meal an cleanse the palate. Sushi appetizer was perfect with just the right amount of kick. I ordered the NY strip (medium) and it was perfectly cooked with incredible flavor and tenderness. The mushrooms were also delicious. Topped off with a Toro smoked old fashioned, the meal was perfect. Although I started my meal seated outside, the staff offered to move me inside because the mosquitoes became unbearable. My husband and I went to dinner at Toro three out of four nights during our stay at the St.Regis Kanai resort and each night was exquisite from the food, to the service, the ambiance and overall experience. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the beautiful outdoor seating due to the mosquitos but indoors was just as wonderful. The drinks were phenomenal. My husband enjoyed the smokey old fashioned and my rosemary hibiscus foam margarita was so tasty. Our favorite dishes were the oysters, crab & shrimp soup and the miso escolar. My family (wife and 2 barely pre-teen kids) dined here for dinner three times while staying on property at the StR. The staff and service, especially Francisco, are top notch. The service is what would you expect of a five star resort and did not disappoint. The food is the star of the show. Sushi and tacos for starters are all top notch. The bar program and cocktails made by Alejandro are stellar. Shrimp and crab enchiladas, steak lomo, and wood fired fish and steaks are outstanding. All-around, five stars. Absolutely incredible!!! My gf and i dined here last night and it was one of our favorite meals we have had in our lifetimes. Not an exaggeration, the food made us say wow multiple times. Ceviche, soft shell crab tacos, steak, everything was so good. Thank you adolfo and henry for an incredible night. Service was excellent. I would give four star to the food but zero to the service. I had dinner at Toro Riviera Maya on Dec 12th and the restaurant mis charged me for a way higher amount than I consume. I didn’t notice this until I was back to Canada. I tried several times to contact the restaurant as the call goes directly to the front desk of hotel, I wasn’t able to talk to the restaurant until the fourth try. The restaurant said they realized the mis charge right after the payment because there was something wrong with the machine and I wasn’t the only one who was facing this issue but the wired thing was they never get to me. Just wonder what if I never figure this out? And will they let other consumers know they have been overcharged? If they’ll let others know then why I was never been told? My request was simple and direct which was to email me the receipt and get my charge corrected. Toro said they’ll get back to me on the next day but it has been a week and they never did. It was such a shame considering it is a fine dining in the hotel level of Edition and St Regis. I am a Titanium member with Marriott for years and huge fun of Edition. I chose Edition because it was their soft opening. We could have a pleasant stay there but the experience with Toro Riviera Maya truly refreshed my impressions on how unprofessional a fine dining could be. Could never come again.
