The entrance of Ton Aoy Thai Kitchen is a door at the main square of Zvolen, followed by an alley, and at the end of it a surprising and amazing place. We missed it first so check the picture of the door with this review if you cannot find it too. We went to this small Thai Restaurant because of the Google reviews. Wow, what a wonderful tasty food; Fresh ingredients, large portions and an excellent balanced combination of spices. The service was of top level, a young waitress knowing the dishes, willing to give advice and friendly and cheerful. The dining room was warm and nicely decorated. We went to see Zvolen castle and just looked for some nice place for lunch. We were surprised by this small Thai bistro. Very authentic fresh food. It felt like on vacation in Thailand! Easily the best Thai food I’ve had in the EU. The dishes were colorful, very flavorful and satisfyingly authentic. Meaning they have real Thai chilis, lemongrass and keffir lime leaves (among many other spices). Our server was extraordinary and very patient with our family’s selections making helpful recommendations along the way. The cooking and waiting staff went above and beyond to accommodate our children’s needs, our detailed questions about dishes and even a few specific requests towards the end of the meal. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner experiences. Well done for an excellent meal! We will likely make trips out of our way to go to Zvolen specifically for this restaurant. Cheers and good luck!!! I visited from England. This is a beautiful family run restaurant with fantastic, tasty and authentic Thai food. The service is extremely welcoming and friendly, the owner was also kind enough to show of pictures of his experience traveling through Asia. Highly recommend! Meal type Lunch
