Upon entering, the place was bustling with action. Good music was going, and the vibes were high. My server was friendly and helpful. The food tasted good. I got a pancake and the Skillet Heap option. I added veggies and bacon to it. The toast was fresh and everything tasted appealing. This is the kind of place where you have to order the food the way you like it. If you are someone that likes spicy food, you want to have them add things to your food that livens it up and bring condiments. Season to your taste buds. It has a nice retro diner atmosphere but is still up to date. Overall, I think it was a good experience. I will enjoy trying other menu choices next time. Parking is a little bit crowded right around the restaurant. However, it is in a plaza, so you should be able to find a space.

The Skillet Heap
Walking into this diner brings back a sense of nostalgia from my youth. The waitress was quick with her service and the kitchen, just as quick getting the food out. My family loved the biscuits and gravy and chocolate chip pancakes. The portions are very generous here so you can absolutely share dishes. The French toast was okay and the southwest egg wrap was mediocre but the eggs were cooked to our requests and delicious. The fried potatoes were probably the least favorite as they had no flavor or salt on them.

My husband and I really like to go to Thumbs Up Diner. They are very friendly. The food is good! The service is amazing! And the food comes out so fast. It’s a great atmosphere. Go try them out. And make sure to get the crispy potatoes, they are delicious 🤤. lol.

Delicious southern diner. The eggs were cooked perfectly, potatoes perfectly crisp and the grits were full of flavor. Also they make a great wheat biscuit and their own jam. This may be our new breakfast spot!

After coming across other Reviewer's posts, I wanted to try this place. It did not disappoint. It's the closest "diner" to me, and I will be back.
The house soup special of the day was a creamy lemon chicken, and it was delicious. If you're a favorite of chicken lemon orzo soup, you should try it. I had the fried fish with grits, multigrain biscuit, and poached eggs.
Fried fish was seasoned well and came out crispy... might be one of the best fried catfish I've had recently. The grits are the coarser thicker grits, and it was creamy and yummy. Never had a multigrain biscuit, and it didn't disappoint! The prices were also more than fair if you're on a budget.
My fiance had the Edgewood Beef, and the potatoes were amazing (ask for crispier potatoes!). Wish I took a photo of that plate, it was huge. We were just so hungry 😆
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to come back! I give it a "Thumbs Up!"

The Edgewood
This is my first time at this location. I have been patronizing Thumbs Up for many years. The server was prompt and pleasant. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. However, the food was disappointing. The fish wasn't done all the way through. The eggs and potatoes had absolutely NO seasoning....nothing. I will probably stick with the other locations.

I'd been to the location on Edgewood before - first time here in Roswell. We sat outside on the patio. Our server was great, and the food was fantastic! Large portions big enough to share and very reasonably priced. The fried catfish was everything, and the Lou's coffee (1/2 coffee, 1/2 hot chocolate) was delicious. There was one negative - the condition of the bathroom was really bad - i.e. old gas station bathroom vibes. Mgmt should be sure that the bathrooms are tended to several times throughout the day.

Prompt service and reasonable price, but the chicken salad melt… isn’t one. It doesn’t have chicken salad on it. It’s just chunks of chicken? Not sure why. Looks lovely but it’s actually quite bland to boot.

Had the feel and Atmosphere of a Diner. Was absolutely filling and delicious. The Shrimp and grits were amazing and makes you full fast. Highly recommend for a great feast. I wish I found this place sooner.
