The decor is beautiful and clean. A very Scandinavian feeling. Spacious and inviting. Lighting is also good. Food is nice with a fair selection. But the music!!!!! 😭😭😭 the music is incredibly depressing! Heavy and somber. In the end, we couldn’t wait to leave!!! Such a beautiful gem in the heart of the City, serene and calming ambiance. Friendly and courteous members of staff. Thank you to Patrick who made our experience extra special. Exceptional delectable menu, the prawn pizza was by far one of the rarest and absolute best I have had. Thee creamy pasta dish consisted of some fresh veg garnish. I went there last weekend with my mother. The service was great. Efficient and friendly. The view is amazing as the restaurant is at the top of the hotel. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It has a nice wide variety on the menu. Also the restaurant is on the Entertainer if you want to save some money but it is strictly for the main menu. I ordered the chicken pot pie which looked burnt but wasn’t at all. The gravy/sauce was so creamy and nice and rich which was perfected well with a side salad. The angry chicken burger was delicious. The basting sauce was amazing and come with a nice spiced chips, including coleslaw and mustard sauce. The chicken curry was delicious and was served with a raita. I would definitely be coming back to try a few more other things on the menu. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person R 150–200

We attended the whisky tasting in celebration of Jack Daniels birthday month of September. The whisky experience was great, welcome drinks on arrival. Staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. Food is a 7/10 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Lovely location, restaurant was very quite as it was a week day. Waiter was very unfriendly, not even a welcome smile and also did not check up from time to time. He informed us his shift is now over and we need to pay the bill as he is leaving but we are welcome to stay further. That could have been avoided as someone else could have picked up the bill for him when we finally decided to leave. The Sanctuary restaurant at the Kloof Street Hotel was quite a pleasant surprise. Lovely restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Magnificent view of Table Mountain from the pool area where you can also sit and enjoy your meal. Great service and the fact that you could use the "Entertainer" facility a nice touch. I will definitely recommend a visit to The Sanctuary.

Today I walked into the Sanctuary restaurant and the waitress looked at me and what I was wearing and asked why I am there. She didn't greet me or offer me a menu. I said I was having a meeting and she denied me a seat if I was not going to order a meal. She did not want to allow me to order a drink while I waited for my employee to arrive for the meeting. I am utterly disgusted at how I was racially and socially profiled and denied a seat in this restaurant. As I walked out the waitress shouted goodbye to me in a sarcastic tone. This is the WORST restaurant I ate in Cape Town, or at least for non-meat eaters. I am a vegetarian so I ordered a roasted veggie pizza, these guys put carrots on my pizza, that too unwashed & un-chopped. They did not even remove the ends of the carrot. Additionally they added baby corn and broccoli. It was the most horrible vegetarian pizza I have ever had. On the other hand their vegetarian pasta was also so sweet, thought it was a desert. They could not even make a good crispy plate of fries....I surely cannot forget this awful experience. Service Dine in Food: 1

Amazing location and restaurant, fab menu for everyone. Come hungry or just grab a snack. Delicious breakfast menu, amazing coffee. I'll definitely be back. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast
