It's hard to explain in word how neat this place is. The plants are old and amazing. There is not a bad seat in this place. Little paths lead to a new view and experience.

This was hands down our best meal in Nevis....we were staying at another resort but had heard good things about this place to ventured over for dinner. The setting, the food, the service - all of it spectacular, special, delicious and intimate! Our server, Bernadette, could teach a course in service she was that friendly, attentive, caring and truly dedicated to providing us with the very best experience! The grounds were stunning, even in the dark, and I regret we did not get back there to see them during the daytime (a fellow guest at our hotel said they were even prettier than The Botanical Gardens on the island!).
Do. Not. Miss. Eating. Here! This meal alone swayed us to stay at this Inn on our next visit to Nevis!
We had a great dining experience at the Golden Rock plantation. The food was prepared with care and was very tasty. The service is great as were the choices in the menus. The location is outstanding.

This spot is truly botanically stunning. The flora here is super impressive. The ambiance is a total 10 out of 10. Sadly where this place loses stars is the food. Unfortunately the food for us tonight did not live up to the raving reviews we had read before arriving. In comparison to the other restaurants we have tested on the island this was the most disappointing. If this place improved their menu it truly could be the most impressive spot on the island.
Phenomenal food in an absolutely idyllic location! The food and staff are both great - the conch chowder, lobster roll, and tuna are my go-to’s.
All in all, a must do when in Nevis.

It's hard to describe this garden paradise and do it justice. Simply gorgeous tropical garden setting. A must-visit on Nevis. Cool breezes highlight a picturesque setting of contrasting modern and colonial stone structures, nestled in the shadow of the peak of Mt. Nevis. A hidden jungle paradise. Spectacular.
Beautiful set up at Golden Rocks Hotel the ground are spectacular and the food was awesome bit far from where we were staying but worth the visit Go for lunch so you can enjoy the views
Let’s be clear: A trip to Nevis without dining at Golden Rock is no trip to Nevis at all.
The charm offensive begins with an atmosphere that seems impossible to replicate anywhere in this earthly world. As you walk through the Inn lounge—perhaps you should leisurely enjoy a cocktail there first—and then onto the stone patio, you quickly realize the uniqueness of moment you are about to experience and possibly will never forget.
Here you find yourself on the most enchanting islands of the West Indies with the blessing to have the opportunity to dine by moon and candlelight under a private dome amid the koi pond and gardens sunken into the slopes of Nevis Peak. If your party is around six people and it’s a weekday night, you’ll likely be seated under the dome without having to make a special request. You’ll feel like modern royalty casually meeting old friends but that’s just how they treat all their guests.
There is a sense of belonging—that you were destined to be in that moment at that time—and a warm feeling of gracious Nevisian hospitality coupled with European style still unblemished by hordes of tourists. Do you feel pity for to those unwittingly suffering in Carnival Cruise steerage? No, please keep it this way.
You absorb every second of this special and unique atmosphere and begin to think about your meal. The service is as quiet and restrained or as engaging and lively as you want it to be; the staff seems to instinctively know what kind of experience you prefer without much thought. They recalibrate to you automatically. And, for goodness sake remember that when it’s time to be extra generous with your gratuity.
Overall, the food is outstanding, fresh and most importantly, unpretentious. The Golden Rock menu knows what it wants to be and isn’t trying to be something else. Therefore, it never falls short.
What to order? First things first: The Conch Chowder is the best on the island—if not the entire Caribbean. It is simply a mistake to not order it. If you aren’t in the mood for soup, you get in the mood and consider yourself lucky to have it. It’s also probably the best place on Nevis to enjoy a perfectly cooked lamb chop entrée—medium rare. So, if you like lamb, get it here. If not, the fresh fish—local Snapper or Mahi—is always fool proof and lovingly prepared without any gimmickry. They will certainly accommodate a vegetarian. Try one of the more inventive appetizers by sharing with your table. Desert? Yes, but more for the opportunity to linger longer in this wonderful atmosphere.
Importantly, dinning at Golden Rock should be had at least twice during any weekly Nevis stay, once at night for a full dinner and once during the day for lunch so you can see the grounds in a different light and meet the friendly staff once again. Have another cocktail, maybe enjoy a hamburger and just look at this place.
Her European owners have most certainly achieved hospitality Sainthood for their investment and dedication into all that Golden Rock is today.
Recently, she was a location for the big screen staring opposite of Billions’ Malin Akerman. A surely charming film who’s fame hopefully won’t result in any changes at the Inn. Please Golden Rock, never change.
Make sure you are here when the evening lights come on. Such a special place! Gardens are unsurpassed, restoration of buildings magnificent with a fun but elegant attitude. Food and service wonderful!
Had an evening dinner. Gorgeous atmosphere and delicious food. We had a large group and the staff accommodated well. We did a little later in the evening and some options were sold out however still very worthwhile.
It was a bit too dark to take in the full view. Recommend going just before sunset.
