Given that you’re paying about 5,000bht a meal, I was honestly disappointed by the overall experience. Restaurant was empty and lighting was way too bright which was off-putting. I was offered a pretzel with mustard and a fruit skewer as amuse bouche; not bad by any means, but nothing to write home about. I ordered the crab cakes as an entree which was quite good, and the wagyu tenderloin as a main with a side of lobster mac n cheese. The lobster mac was very rich but tasty with large chunks of meat. The tenderloin was served to me rare when I asked for medium rare; normally this would not bother me but I do expect a perfect cook at a steakhouse with these prices. When I complained about the cook they suggested to bring me a hot plate and cook it to my preferred doneness myself - this was honestly surprising and unacceptable as I didn’t come to cook my own food. Overall, I think this might be one of the best steakhouses on the island but I don’t think it is worth the price and I cannot recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the restaurant . The staff were very attentive and had a welcoming attitude. Our orders were the burrata salad, truffle ravioli and the rib eye steak. I recommend all of the orders. For dessert we had coconut ice cream. It’s the best I have ever had in my life.

We were extremely impressed with the staff, service and quality of food. We stayed 9 nights and ate here most of them. Mr Chin always had a table for us, and when the menu changed halfway through our trip he still made my husband a banana split off the original menu. Honestly, the new menu is even more incredible, so I can see why they changed it. My favorite food was the scallop Mac and cheese. It tastes like they shredded a block of high quality cheese with the most tender, fork cutting scallops. My celiac husband loved their filet, tenderloin, and their potato wedges. Most nights he had their homemade ice cream as well. They were all so kind, and bought out gluten free bread! Our typical severs were Maesa, Petch, and Chin who provided us with a 5 star, fine dining service experience. We cannot thank them enough for making our stay so memorable and special. The restaurant has A/C so it’s nice and cool. Their red wines are 19 crimes for a cab sav, but they have two others and the red from France was my favorite.

The steak is cooked to perfection. Still thinking bout it even the next day. Service was amazing. tuna tartare is a must try. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
Had the most amazing dinners here while in Koh Samui. I didn’t stay at the hotel but I definitely will next time we come back because the service overall is outstanding and the food is fresh, well thought out and such a delight to eat. My husband and I would love to shout out Queen and the whole team who looked after us for 2 nights in a row for dinner and elevated our overall experience while in Koh Samui. An absolute must try.
We ordered a classic Caesar salad, Tuna Tartar, Fillet Mignon (with Red wine sauce), Grilled Prawns, and a side of asparagus. The Tuna Tartar was served with avocados, potatoes, chorizo, poached egg and soy citrus. It was a very refreshing way to start our dinner with some Japanese inspired flavors. However, the highlight of our meal was the succulent grilled prawns and fillet mignon (best with the Red wine sauce). This was one of the best fillet mignon we have ever had so bravo! For dessert, we had the mango sticky rice cheesecake and some churros. We found the mango sticky rice cheesecake very inventive and a yummy take on a very popular Thai dessert. Absolutely astonishing service here at the ranch part of the ritz. Food was very high quality and staff are amazing. Could not fault at all. We arrived and was dealt with in the highest of service. 10/10 5 star all the way. Would recommend to anyone.
Compared to the rest of the hotel, The Ranch is a disappointment. It’s a steakhouse with fast food vibes from the lighting to the hurried and inattentive service. There are far better dining experiences on the property.
Food was ok.
