kayla is an amazing bartender and we had an fun experience at your establishment. I recommend this bar and I will be returning with my coworkers more often. The only concern I have is that there needs to be security available at an earlier time - we experience individuals who were not paying and arguing with the bartender just to take space and for free drinks. There were no security guards at the time m. She needs security and it needs to be a safer space . Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The funnest and gayest place in town. YEAH, ok but…the beer selection just means DRINK SOME LIQUOR GRRL! This place has become a pillar of the lgbtq community in Oaktown and will forever be a special place to my friends and I…. HUNTY!
Fun, local gay bar! It's small, but the drinks are great, the people are friendly and it's not a 'dive'. Great spot to chill low key during the week, or get your dance on during the weekend! It's definitely my go-to gay spot in Oakland!

The Port Bar is so accessible and a welcomed LGBTQ+ bar centrally located near 19th Street BART on Broadway Street in Oakland. I loved the rainbow and colorful design and innovative use of shipping port containers. The music and disc jockey was poppin'. The bartenders make a strong and potent drink, no lie.

The music slap. The crowd was cracking. Drinks had ya girl lit, 😆 🤣 😂. I truly enjoyed myself. The community is inclusive.....love seeing everyone enjoying themselves being authentic themselves.
So much fun! Relatively new, but a great venue. I went for a RuPaul's Drag Race party and stood for the great atmosphere.

I went twice, first time it was afternoon and there was a lady bartender, i asked for a margarita for me and my pal, she told me u want double or single i got double, please please get rid off that machine thats the worst worst margaritas ever, disgusting so much acid we couldn’t finish them, i ordered two beers and my check was over 70 bucks whatever last night was my friend birthday and we tried to go to a different club but was closed and we didnt have option we ended up there, i ordered screwdriver who can make a bad screwdriver and one gin tonic, i dont know what the owner was thinking when they hired those guys, firstable lets be honest! I can accept a bad bartender if he or she looks good, no looking good and plus make the worst drink come on thats too much! Ever again will back to that place, at least the price drink from last night was decent.

*Very toxic and unsafe for fem/trans folks* The tiny Port bar in Oakland is culturally for toxic hyper-masc anti-fem/trans guys who don’t want to hangout at fem/trans friendly bars like the White Horse, and this is why it has the highest rate of FIGHTS and HARASSMENTS than any gay bar in Oakland. The security woman had to deal with A LOT and I hope she gets paid well. I was there three times and every time I witnessed how hyper-masculinity and bullying is ruining the vibes. The first time, there was a group fighting and they had to kick people out. The second time (on March 26th) there was another big fight where The Port had to close earlier and kick all clients out when people had paid their covers for a full night The third time (last night on Dec 10th), a tiny fem brown guy was harassed and bullied by a big masc guy repeatedly, although the fem guy kept saying that he doesn’t know the bully nor he knew why he was targeted by him. About 40 minutes later the fem guy was watching Jasmine Masters performance with us, and the bully came again and pushed him very aggressively for no reason! The fem guy had it at that time and told the bully that he shouldn’t push people like that and the bully went threatening at him “Do you wanna meet outside!” “If I ever see you again!” then spit on the fem guy’s face who apparently had no one to help him so he went to the security to report the harassment and assaults, the security was listening to the bully side of the story lying to her and I felt like she might not kick him out but the fem guy insisted as he was cleaning his face from the bully spit, and she eventually kicked him out. Don’t go to The Port. It’s an unsafe toxic hyper-masc anti-fem/trans bar with a long history of fights and harassments.
