We are just sitting at „The Pastry Place“ in Montagu. It was really a good found, because it‘s a special place. Very best handmade pastries, so delicious. Very best quality and so friendly people. What a stunning little pastry shop - It's definitely a mandatory stop while in Montagu. The pastries are absolutely delicious and are created with such skill & care - you'll struggle to not order one of everything! Grab a table outside to enjoy your order with a great cup of coffee when visiting.

Wow wow wow! I've eaten pastries all over the world, but this place is something else. They have a large selection of delicious pies with original flavours (butter chicken/ thai green curry), but the bobotie was our favorite 😍 What really blew our mind though was the pain suisse. Perfectly crispy, flaky, buttery and a generous amount of absolutely delicious chocolate & custard. The staff is super lovely too and clearly care about their customers and products. Don't miss this place if you're in Montagu. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Bobotie Pie

We stopped for a coffee break at The Pastry Place this morning. Ordered a large cappucinno and custard pastry. Was delicious!! A must visit when visiting or driving through Montagu

My absolute favorite pastry place in Montagu. I was so surprised to find them open on the first day on the new year 2021 and we decided to pop in have a coffee and some pastries. It was a very good decision. Family runned business, mom as the host and run the little restaurant, whilst the dad personally makes all the treats and food himself and the daughter preparing your coffee and drinks while you wait. I had a bobotie pie and it was phenomenal, delicious, tasty and I can go on. Please support them and trust me you will not be disappointed

Wow, a must stop when travelling through Montagu. Best pies we have had - both the filling and the stunning pastry. The pies we had were a Babotie, a Lamb and a Chicken pie each. The almond croissant was delicious too. So very sad that we are now too far down route 62 to go back for more! Delightfully friendly service too.

OMG!! Probably the best pies I’ve every had. Seriously. Had them at home, a pepper steak and a mushroom 🤩🤩🤩 Flavoursome, filled with filling, deliciously flakey and rich pastry. Good thing I don’t live here 😳😳😳 (Picture taken at guesthouse)

Delicious pies and pastries. Cappuccino just the way I like it. Lovely owner. I can call in and 'reserve' my favourite pastry. Definitely my favourite place to relax.
