Absolutely A+. I had the crispy chicken salad with chipolte ranch, and it was amazing. Quality fresh ingredients, and wonderful service. My husband had the chicken parm sub and sweet potato fries, and proclaimed both excellent. That's saying something, as he is particular about both. Very extensive menu of very impressive choices. Great stop on our travels, well worth going off the beaten path a tad. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Our party of 5 was greeted with a kind hello and & smile. We received our refreshments quickly as well as our food. The menu has a nice selection & food was tasty & fulfilling. Our waitress was great! We actually left another restaurant and came to yours. Was here about 3 weeks ago. Nice homey diner with friendly people. I got the breakfast wrap, it was ok. Mostly egg, I would definitely cut back on that just a little. The food was good and filling, neither of us could finish our plates

Perfectly cooked French fries and it was so refreshing to get a "true" NY cheesecake. I got the grilled chicken gyro and the chicken was tender and the tsatziki was delicious 😋We got the strawberry cheesecake not the Oreo one, but I can say it was a delightful surprise. I'll definitely be back if I come through Maybrook again! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My patty melt was delicious and large. The fries were good. The menu is large and everyone should find something they want to eat. I love the section names on the menu, like hand over that sandwich and eggceptional burritos. The service is unmatched and I don't know if it was the owner or manager but he came over to make sure our food was good and I felt like he really cared about the quality of the food and the comfort of his customers. I also loved the chalk map around the ceiling in the dining room. It was really cool to see points of interest in the area and local places. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Rose L. was right from her comments a year ago. My parents wanted to come here like they used to pre-COVID, but shifted to take out because it was more convenient for them. This was their diner and they loved the owner and the staff. When they walked through the door this time around, they received a nice welcome, but a little over the top. Their reaction was almost like PTSD, shrinking and stepping backwards. They wanted to sit in a booth and the place was not very busy. The hostess whose voice was rattling in their ears was not listening and sat them in the corner near the bathroom. No one was on the other side, but my parents didn’t want to make a fuss. The radio was blaring and the hostess and waitress were still not paying attention, asking 20 questions, and then took their order. My folks were ready to leave. They couldn’t hear themselves think. Short stack of pancakes and a burger with fries. Simple, right? Wrong. Something was off about this place. If my parents don’t like something, like I said, they won’t make a fuss. Two bites of some thing that look like pancakes, and my father was ready to call it quits, pay and go. He whispered to me in the vestibule “we can’t come here anymore.” I felt awful for them both. This was a special place for them and they don’t go out much. I didn’t think much of it when we first came and I held the door for them, but the hostess was very rude, according to my father, when she asked him if I was with them. I didn’t think anything of it, but he made a big deal out of it, and that kind of set the tone for the rest of the time we were there. It was sad. I’ve been here a few times and enjoyed it when I used to come here. This is one of the last few diners in the area. I know the one in Walden closed some time ago, but mainline had a different, better atmosphere. It was a diner. I’d like to know what happened because my parents were visibly upset there and I had never seen them this way.
