This is definitely a up market restaurant service was excellent the food great. Atmosphere relaxing and warm. Not a place to take smaller kids to. They should have gotten a 5 star if it wasn’t for the fact that the waiter did not bring a bottle water to the table and opened it without asking if we wanted it. And then charge it to my table. The thing is I would have rather taken a bottle of wine than the water but as it was open and he had pored it without asking we weren’t going to have wine as well. So in all they sold a unwanted still water at R48 and lost on the much more expensive bottle of wine. I don’t like being bullied into things I don’t want. Never made a fuss about it but will think twice about returning due to those fact. My experience was exceptional, had a 3 course meal, the food was sooo delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with bill. Must say, it is fine dining at a decent price. We were attended to by waitress who knew the menu and gave good advice... This hidden gem is the best restaurant in the East Rand!!! Best restaurant I have ever been to. They assisted my husband so patiently and willingly in organising a surprise birthday dinner for two. It was evident in setup when we got there. Their service is top notch. The food is quality and service is value for money. You get courtesy or complimentary snacks and deserts. The manager (Ausi Cynthia) and her team who were on shift were warm and welcoming . A big thanks to Our waitress (big ups to you Ausi Tshiamo) for serving us so great. Great service, lovely ambiance. Almost wish they had a dress code as I didn't find the kids in onesies appropriate. I hope as the new year comes around they will get their supply chain going as people don't like to hear "that's not available". The food we had was great and the proportions good too. Highly recommended. We were treated with great food, excellent service, comfortable seating and a friendly atmosphere wherein we could actually talk to each other without intrusive noise levels. The Pork Belly I had was dry, hard and a bit burnt/charred, I complained about my meal and our waitress said it’s supposed to be crispy. I couldn’t even finish half of my food, I was very disappointed😥 My sisters lamb chops were cold and had to be reheated😞 My sons burger was however delicious and he enjoyed it. Overall experience was underwhelming compared to other Hussar Grill restaurants. Price per person R 450–500 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
