The staff have the energy and good will of troopers but I think the place is due a management level refurb and rethink. What do I know though. The place was quite empty when we were there so not a stressed kitchen but food order was wrong, breakfast I had (order was right) was just massively below par for anything in the cape. Coffee is really not good either. View is decent and good vibe in the area if you keen to walk around. Will gladly give this a revisit if there’s an update on this front. We stopped here for a quick lunch and weren't disappointed. Parked right outside (street parking), got very busy. Tables with a view if the harbour were the best. Lovely atmosphere For the food, they were generous portions, fresh and tasty. Steaks were lovely and cooked well. If planning to visit on the weekends, will recommend booking ahead of time as it got very busy during the peak lunch hours. Waiters were nice and friendly, they consistently checked on us to ensure we were okay and also to refill our drinks. Restrooms are just at the back and were clean. Service was fine. The view was nice. The food (African game selection medallions: warthog, zebra, impala) was so overcooked and saucy. This was an unexpected surprise and jewel on our Cape Town tour. Our guide stopped here for us to have lunch and we were amazed. The staff is great, the food is AMAZING. I had the best fish and chips & fried calamari I've ever tasted. The veggie wrap was also very good. Portions are generous, price is good, food is delicious. The chips were AWESOME with the tartar sauce and some ketchup. The views of Simon Town military dock is very beautiful, you'll definitely have a good time.
