Visited here after almost a decade and still consistently great. Food is exceptional, great Christmas ambience and many of the customers are repeat customers! Service is great and after listening to others in our tours this is one of the most consistently great restaurants for food and service! Can’t beat it, am going back for more. Loved the drums of heaven, butter chicken naans and jeera rice. We needed a place for lunch after our visit to the Victoria Falls and also close to the town or in Livingstone. We saw the Golden Leaf and decided to make a turn and try this restaurant while in the area. The food is very enjoyable and also indian which was something new to me. But I chose something hot and needed a glass of milk to cool down! But yet the meal was very enjoyable and the staff very friendly! We thought we would try out the Golden Leaf after reading all the good reviews for dinner as we love Indian food and have sampled the cuisine all over the world. We ordered a Chicken Masala Hot, the waitress told us that it would be Indian hot and it might be too hot for us to handle, we informed her that we like it hot and enjoy Vindaloo. Service is absolutely fantastic, however when the food came out the Chicken Masala was no where near as hot as what we expected which was quite disappointing. The portions could be better for the price you pay. All and all the flavours were good but the service was outstanding, thank you to the waitress that served us. Indian, Local and international cuisine, you name it! My family and I enjoyed all the meals at this restaurant 2 evenings in a row. Very efficient and polite staff too! I had Tava Chicken and this was the first time I've ever heard of it and I've had Indian Food countless times. It was spicy very flavourful and it filled me up perfectly. Stayed in Livingstone for two weeks and ate here 4 times- very solid Indian food, attentive service, always a positive experience. We were even accompanied to a cab with umbrellas when it was pouring rain. Highly recommend! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
