Restaurant/bar on the one side and pizzeria on the other side, with a passthrough doorway inside. Only had experience with the pizzeria. Service was good. Pizzas were ok. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Downtown has to do better with how they choose to package quesadillas. I live 5 minutes away and when I got home it was so soggy I couldn’t even hold it in my hand. On top of that all I could taste was cheddar cheese, the chicken was very bland. I do not order take out, to the come home, and have to through the food I just picked up in a skillet. To add insult to injury, the bake clam, imagine HAD NO CLAM! It was all bread, again, no flavor. I am very disappointed to say the least and too tired to come back out to attempt to have this rectified in some way or a refund. To be clear, this is not matter of preference. This is the truth of my experience. There are other options there that I have enjoyed in the past so I will not write this business off. However to order over $30 worth of food was not efficiently prepared, essentially not enjoyable or imo edible is wild! Food: 1

New to the area and wanted some decent wings and a beer. Well, this is definitely a place that will give you both of those and more! Had a great time at the bar, ordered the Buffalo and Thai Chili wings, which were delicious, and the CABO Burger, which stood no chance!! Staff was super friendly and gave great recommendations!! Will be back here often and probably going to order takeout as well (food was amazing). Also, try the Downtown Burger amazing flavor. Great local restaurant with a friendly bar inside! Ask for Sean, a super friendly guy, and will recommend the perfect menu item depending on your taste and appetite! A must try if you're in the area. Not understanding the amazing reviews I've read on downtown cafe over the years. Pretty much a pizzeria masked as a bar. Its deep fried basic food That's bland. We ordered the penne vodka. smokey and overloaded with onions. Had a bit of bitter aftertaste. We ordered the kids menu fried raviolis with fries. Waiter took our menu came back a few minutes later and asked what side we wanted with the raviolis which perplexed us. My wife said "well what do you mean" to which his reply was "you can have fries or curly fries" so of course my son opted for the curly fries. Was surprised to find a $2 upcharge for the curly fries on the bill later. When I questioned it the waiter said it cost them more for the product, however they offered it to me! They should have told me it would be more or simply not offered it. When I asked them to remove it they made it sound like they would do it as a one time courtesy. Well thanks for doing a one-time removal for YOUR mistake. I won't be back!!! By the way, the chicken parm a few kids fried raviolis a chicken sandwich and penny vodka came out to over $70. First time here didn't know what to expect, But the food was amazing 😋 Appetizer was also great followed by the drinks that I also love. It was definitely a win a great place for a date or just to catch up with some friends. Will definitely be going back. Just picked up 2 orders each of buffalo wings and chicken tenders...over $50.00 for Super Bowl Sunday... This place has gone downhill. The chicken tenders were smaller than chicken nuggets at McDonalds. Shame on them. Never again.

Ordered a pizza for delivery! It was one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. Made with tomatoe sauce from a can and mozzarella that was chewy and tasteless. I asked for extra basil on the side. They did not give it to Me and the basil the pizza came with was almost non- existent. Overall a bad experience. Had one piece and left it at reception. On top of it it cost $32. Five stars for reliability and consistency. Downtown Cafe is THE Glen Cove restaurant. You know you're going to get a good meal for $15-30 with little fuss. Menu plays it safe and fr sometimes that's exactly what you need. I also wish I could give a sixth or seventh star for their attention to gluten free allergies. My mother has severe Celiac, and Downtown Cafe understands how to cook for her. Everytime I take my mom, it's not long until I hear "that's the best (insert gluten free dish) I've had." Drinks could still use work but hey everyone has room for improvement. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This was a very competent restaurant. The prices are reasonable and the food is very good. The service was also very nice. I really don't have a bad thing to say about the place.
