The Dinner Bell is that hidden gem. If you are traveling on I-55, get off for McComb. You really need to go for lunch. Everything is home cooked. I went there by myself. I sat down with people I didn't know. It turned into family this family dinner. Everyone talking about where they were from and where they were going. The food was hot and flavorful. The service was as good as the food. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Baked Chicken

Our first time ever at a Dinner Bell. It was wonderful! Food was outstanding! Fried chicken, ham, corn salad, eggplant, black eyed peas, collard greens, lime beans, sweet potatoes, dumplings, squash, corn bread, BBQ ribs, rice and gravy. Plus a lot of desserts. We ate at a table with 10 other people...just like family. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Traditional Southern MS family style dishes served on a large rotating lazy-Susan. Certainly a unique location for the region! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Southern cooking at it's best! The fried eggplant and fried chicken are a must! Such a cool and unique experience eating at the large round table with a lazy susan in the middle. Will be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A group of 18 from Healing Place Church had lunch there two weeks ago and only 3 of us had been there before. Everyone raved about the experience and food. One couple took home four takeout plates! You can't beat the Dinner Bell for bringing you the sense of a family Sunday meal from long ago. It reminds me of eating at my grandma's house when I was a child. Some of my best memories of eating at the Dinner Bell are sharing a table with total strangers. I have been blessed to meet folks from other states; and at times find that I'm sitting next to a home town person. They have the best fried chicken and fried eggplant. Then there is the smothered cabbage, yellow squash, rice and homemade gravy, bean of the day, cornbread, ribs and the best sweet tea in the South! Probably in the US, but I've never had it out of South Louisiana. Some advice based on much experience, wear your loose fitting pants. Came here with a wedding party dinner. The food was out and waiting for us. The tables have “Lazy Susan” turnstiles on them and you turn it to get what you want. There was a wide selection of food: ribs, steak in gravy, chicken, and more. The wife says the chicken was amazing. The staff was very nice and courteous; bringing refills and more plates of various dishes.
The experience would have been more enjoyable if it wasn't for the awful stench! I don't know what it was or where it was coming from but the owner needs to FRESHEN up that place immediately. Wash the whole inside with some Febreeze Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 1 Service: 5 Recommended dishes Fried Eggplant 3

IVE GONE TO THE DINNER BELL SINCE I WAS A CHILD.. Today the food was awful. slop and no dumplings. Ribs hard and cold just a mess. Drove from Baton Rouge to eat garbage. They have cut back and raised the cost 60.00 for 3 people. They need to close shop. The food was nasty old and cold. 2 dessert choices brownies and some nasty banana pudding. Unbelievable. Then made me so sick in my stomach diarrhea for days. BUYER BEWARE. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
I love to take my mother here. We have been going there for years. One of the last traditional round table seating restaurants left. As you would expect, serves southern comfort food on a rotating "Lazy Susan" style table. Known for their fried chicken, dumplins, vegetables, famous fried egg plant, and deserts, they also have various other dishes. Menu varies from day to day. Besides the good food, dining is always enjoyable as you get to meet local patrons, many from other places in Mississippi and Louisiana, as well as those from other states. Service is friendly. Prices are a little higher but worth the experience. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
