I had the best Iced Vanilla Coffee here! I've visited when a sweet man is behind the counter and he has always been so inviting, and genuinely happy to see all his customers! The cookies are amazing, too! My daughter loves them!

First time visiting, and I'm in love! The Dessert Spot doesn't just have scrumptious desserts, the atmosphere is inviting and owners are customer service friendly! We purchased several items including a vanilla cappuccino, cheesecake, chocolate cake, brownie and cookies! We will be back. Thank you!
First timer here 👋🏽 Wow. Just, wow. So good! Cheesecake was delicious! Cookie had so many chocolate chips I almost cried out of joy. Will definitely be returning. And the older gentleman at the from was so sweet and welcoming!
Awesome customer service. Thea is a jewel. Visited by way of word of mouth referral. The place smells amazing. Very aesthetically pleasing. Tried several cookies and the chocolate chip is amazing. I also purchased the Reese's and snickerdoodle cookies. They also had some yummy looking cakes. Will visit again.
The Italian cream cake was smooth and rich, just the right amount of coconut, my son told me the cheesecake was moist not too firm, with crunchy crust, and my wife love the carrot cake, I tried it. It was perfectly moist with a nice spice cake taste. Service was excellent with a polite smile and conversation.
A quick shopping trip brought me to Waxahachie this afternoon, where I discovered this little gem, The Dessert Spot. A quaint little coffee and dessert shop with a friendly, customer service oriented young man at the counter, I am guessing the friendly gentleman walking the floor asking guests how their day is and if the treats are fulfilling the sweet spot they needed to quiet is the owner. I ordered the Ice Cream Cookie Crumble that cones w/your choice of fresh baked cookie, choice of ice cream, whipped cream and nuts, totally worth the days calories. I also ordered a chocolate chip cookie and lemon cookie to go. Please stop in when you visit Waxahachie.
We really enjoyed meeting the Harris family, owners of The Desert Spot located in the Roger’s Hotel. The atmosphere is great, the desert amazing and the owners are so kind. I definitely recommend visiting.

When you are looking for a family-owned coffee and desert shop rather than the usual chain, the Waxahachie, Texas Dessert Spot is perfect!
While taking lunch in Waxahachie, I discovered its charming historical downtown and this sweet spot to grab a hot beverage and dessert! The chocolate chip cookies are upper fresh and huge – plenty to share between the two of us. The vast selection of homemade desserts is impressive. Red velvet, butter sugar, lemon, double chocolate, snickerdoodle, peanut butter, oatmeal chocolate chip with walnuts cookies and more.
The owners are exceptionally warm, professional, and welcoming. You get a generous smile along with service from Elmo. Whatever you order, kindness accompanies it. We noted Elmo’s pride in his wife’s décor and dessert recipe creations. For a mid-day pick up moment, this place offers it all. There is ample seating that includes a high-top counter area near the large front windows, table arrangements for larger groups, smaller tables with benches, and a cozy couch and arm chairs area. Very pleasant!
Other pluses are that items are super affordable and its location is interesting as it's inside of a well-kept historic hotel. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting downtown Waxahachie. Its carrot cake, cheesecake and lemon cake are exceptional, too. Especially, the lemon is bursting with fresh fruit flavor.
Take time to read the signage, quotes, and words of encouragement displayed throughout the shop. These owners care about their clientele and are passionate to offer an exceptional experience.
We found parking easily and enjoyed walking to the nearby historic courthouse.
Literally the BEST cookies I've ever had. And so affordable!! It's such a comfortable place to chill and drink a coffee as well. And it's inside of a super cool historic haunted hotel. Highly recommend to anyone visiting downtown Waxahachie. Shoutout to elmo who gave us a very warm welcome and was the nicest person ever. Beyond 5 stars!
We got cheesecake and ice cream, they have a top notch cheesecake, very good. Nice place for an after dinner desert. Only knocking a star for the strong odor of urine / sewer over by the benches where we were sitting. I’m hoping was a maintenance issue or something
