This is a great little spot! I had their Birch Latte, and it was lovely! A unique set of flavors, but not obtuse at all, and very satisfying as a winter warmer. The breakfast sandwich was also very good, and was certainly a cut above the average coffee shop microwaved breakfast options. There’s not a huge food menu, but the shop is still relatively new. Regardless of that changing, I think they have created a great atmosphere for friends to gather or for individuals to study and work. Would recommend!! Was really impressed by my matcha latte. It was made using a traditional bamboo whisk and had a ton of flavor without being bitter which means it was high quality. You can tell it was fresh from the bright green color. Wonderful pastries too. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $1–10

I got two breakfast sandwiches - both of them without meat, one with pimento and the other with cheddar cheese. I took off a star because of the fact that the sandwiches "start" with meat and if you remove it, the sandwich is the same price. I know the price of the meat isn't significant, but it's the principle that bugs me a little. Also the sandwiches were very basic - egg and cheese on a biscuit. No seasoning, aioli sauce, etc. You might find that good or bad. I like sauces. :-) Service was super friendly and the coffee is excellent. Super tasty fresh roasted coffee. The latte was rich and creamy. Great patio with bar height stools and tables. Something unique about Hammerhead is that you can make your own blend of coffee from six varieties and take it home as whole beans or freshly ground. I learned that Hammerhead has been roasting beans in Ferndale since 2007. They even offer tours of their roasting operations which I will have to visit. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I’ve been saying Bellingham needed a good breakfast sandwich joint. Here it is. And best of all, the coffee is phenomenal. I’ve been drinking their coffee for years and this coffee shop is out doing this little coffee cove of Bellingham. I will say their prices are a little ridiculous.
