Taste is local place, with kind hearted and careful stuff. The food quality surprised us with outstanding Taste and attention to details with heart in creation. Everything is balanced here. Really nice stuff. I asked for a vegan option and they were really open and offered me this amazing meal. It's vegan feta and she also changed the egg to mushrooms and put it in a little bowl. Lovely Cafe with super delicious Bacon and egg savories and toasties!! Mac'n'cheese and mashed potato with Bacon on top are yum too, and they're super filling. Nice hot chocolate and fluffy Cappuccino. Good customer service. If there's a toilet within the Cafe would be more convenient. Also, If the cabinet food can be written with their correct names would be clearer for customers.

Popped in just before afternoon closing for a late lunch. Mac Cheese w/bacon from the cabinet was excellent, tasty and substantial. Doughnuts also impressed. A very quick visit but imagine all the food is good here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Absolutely delightful place. Had breakfast here before a long day heading north, and was very impressed with the french toast, presented perfectly and tasty. Service was quick and friendly!

Stopped here when passing through Oamaru. The food was amazing. We bought a Panini, Vegetable Quiche & Potao Bacon Salad as sides. The salad turned out to be the star of the table. Full of flavor. Perfectly cooked Potatoes paired with crunchy bits of Bacon, Pumkin Seeds & the perfect dressing to bring it all together 😋 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Coffee is okay. Flat white was more of a cappuccino (lots of foam) but no complaints, still fine. Staff are friendly

I just ordered a long black and made a point of commenting on how awesome their coffee was! Santos - has a chocolate flavour. Even asked if it had Cacau or something similar added. So good!

Arrived in Oamaru ready to eat. Lovely welcome to Taste. Happily put our meal on 2 plates for me and mum to share. Excellent service. We missed the blackboard with the food round the corner. Make sure you check it. Yum! Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
