Nestled in the winding alleys of Porto's residential neighborhood, you will walk a path lined with clothes hanging on laundry lines before encountering the restaurant's entrance. The decor and table arrangement bring an authentic ambiance. The cuisine, not only genuine in taste, is also presented at reasonable prices. A variety of local dishes are on the menu, so let the stomach speak to you. The service is excellent, and the staff are proficient in English. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very friendly staff, and nice location in the old town. I’m not usually a seafood eater but the special of the house (cod with a kind of mashed potatoes) and the octopus with roast potatoes were both delicious. Would definitely recommend. Desert was great too! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €25–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It's definitely a local mom and pop non tourist location but very popular. There was a point where customers were pushed away for take out because they didn't have enough soup (get the soup). If I could only give the service six stars ... Very personal and friendly ... Try the fried sardines! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We tried many other restaurants in Porto. Definitely one of the best. Their Sardine was best of the best. My husband and I feel like we could eat unlimited sardine. Because it was heavenly delicious. If you don’t want to wait outside for lunch, you better come here like 11am. Every dishes were so tasty and good portion and good price. Definitely will come back and recommend to all my friends. What an amazing place, small but comfortable. The food was everything I expected.... amazing. The Octopus salad is a must to try, simply delicious. I took the recommendation, which was the cod. This was served with the creamiest potatoes on a bed of olive oil and onions. It was incredible. My husband had the fried octopus with rice, I think he would have liked a little more octopus. But the dish was very good. The service was very friendly and although there was a quick turnover of tables, we were never rushed. Relatively inexpensive for the quality and service one received. I highly recommend this restaurant, but if you want a table, be there early, at least 15 minutes before they open. Or be prepared to wait. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €20–25

Delicious food. As usual small restaurants has better food and service by statistics and my personal experience. Sardines are finger licking good. Marinated in a tasty sauce and deep fried. The rice with beans and tomatoes for 5 out of 5. Recommend this place. Great service, friendly staff. Loved it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Excellent food experience in Porto! Everything was great, the food, atmosphere and service. Especially the quality and prices were outstanding. I highly recommend the fish cakes, they were the best thing I've eaten for a long time, so tasty and fluffy. Also chocolate mousse for dessert was amazing. Restaurant is very small but cozy, and it's worth waiting to get the seats. Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Overall, we waited 45 minutes to get a table while it was said that it would take 15 minutes. I got cranky in the waiting time. We addressed that this could have gone differently with more accurate communication. The owner apologized, however made us uncomfortable by repeating his compliments on our physique. The salmon was great, however the meat was chewy. Also we ordered fried sardines but it was out of stock, most likely because we were the last ones and it was over closing time. In general, we were unlucky that this happened to us. If you like fish dishes I would recommend this place. Meal type Dinner Price per person €20–25 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
We had a beautiful dinner here. We felt very welcome and well cared for and our server was especially kind to our toddler son, which we very much appreciated. The prices are very reasonable, the portions are generous and the food is delicious. The whole experience was that of eating at your Portuguese grandmother’s house. I had the flat cod fritters (more of a pancake?) with a side of the beans and rice, and I had to fight my husband and son off to be able to eat them— everyone loved it! A hidden gem!
