It's a must to try great lemonade while coming to Steak 'n Shake. This place is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. From the guests' viewpoint, prices are fair. The atmosphere of this place is lovely. But many clients who use Google didn't grant this spot a high rating.

Great location in Olathe. Had my usual Chili 5 ways, and a hot dog for National Hot dog day. Wifey had a steakburger. Perfect the way she likes it. We had large soft drinks, didn't get shakes. Good location for us. Though a bit of a drive. Stopped by on our way out of town. Not bad. Relatively clean. They seemed understaffed, most places are lately. Girl at the front counter was very kind. Food was decent and correct. Didn't take long to get to us either. mom really enjoyed her steak burger. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10

I use to regularly visit this restaurant when I lived in Texas. I don’t know what happened here! It is self service and there is no waiter. Basically they just call your receipt. No greetings or anything outside when you’re ordering. The fries were the best part but the shakes were soupy and burgers were mediocre. I definitely won’t be back,maybe it was this location but it definitely lost its charm. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $1–10

This shop needs a deep cleaning. We were immediately greeted by a very kind young lady and placed our order quickly. She even convinced me to order milkshakes for my kids in a kind way. Unfortunately, that is pretty much the highlight. Our meal took 30 minutes to get to us and by the time it did, all of the fries were room temperature. My kids enjoyed their milkshakes and the burgers were okay. I ordered a cup of chili and it was mostly beans and liquids and kind of boring. If this restaurant wants to improve, I highly suggest a deep cleaning. Bathrooms, seating, tables, floors, and kitchen were grimy. The manager was very kind, too.

ordered #7 from $4 menu. expected price to be under 4.50 w/tax. no...$5.46. i asked if tax was 36.5% now. she said no, the price is 4.99 now. then burger was literally barely bigger than a Krystal or White Castle. she said it had two ¼lb patties on it but i eat ¼lb patties at home all the time. sandwich tatted fine but... CHINTZY S&S, CHINTZY. SELL ME A REAL BURGER AND CHARGE NO MORE THAN YOU HAVE TO. DON'T MAKE THEM SMALLER AND THEN CHARGE MORE BESIDES. Food: 4 Service: 3

Stopped here with some coworkers before leaving town. Prices are very good, burger was really tasty, fries were so so. Guess I’m not a fan of fries where you have to grab twice as many times to get a mouthful. Environment was clean and service was good too.

I haven't had Steak N Shake this good in 20 years. Perfect cheeseburger, just the way Steak N Shake used to make them. And, the chocolate shake was about the best shake I've ever had. Fries were fresh and hot (not twice fried). Is it just this restaurant or have all Steak N Shake restaurants stepped up their game? Now they just need to build one as good in Western Shawnee so I don't have to drive so far for a damn fine cheeseburger and shake. Great job to the drive-thru server who actually said "you're very welcome" instead of "uh huh" or (and, I really loathe this) "yeah" when I thanked her for our order.
