As a near-daily Sbx habituant for over a decade and a half, I want to commend this store.
The management and the staff of this 17th St. store are consistently top notch.
The store is always clean, the baristas friendly, the orders consistently come out correct, the drive through is fast, the parking is ample, the bathrooms are clean, the food is fresh, the coffee is delicious, the walkways are always kept clear of snow and ice in winter months, there is ample seating, and the regulars here seem to be a good bunch of people.
I am always greeted when I arrive, and made to feel great about enjoying a daily cup of coffee here. It's a great place to be a regular.
I also want to give 5 stars for how the staff here tries to continue providing an excellent, customer experience, while abiding by recent and restrictive Starbucks corporate policies which do the opposite.
If reviews carry any weight, and the ID DM or Sbx corporate ever lays eyes on this review, PLEASE return the customer comfort items like straws, napkins, hot sleeves, and stoppers to the customer area. $5 is more than enough to produce a cup of coffee, bank a nice profit, AND provide a straw, or a napkin. I'm not bothering a barista for the 'interaction', and I couldn't care less about turtles when the Sbx cups aren't even recyclable themselves.
I will miss this store when I move, the friendly baristas here, and Russ, who is likely the greatest Starbucks manager at the entire company.
Thank you 17th Starbucks for the many years of reliably starting my day with a dose of happy-bean-juice. You've been my favorite 3rd place in Eastern Idaho, and I don't have one complaint about this store and the way it has treated me for the past 9 years.
Great professional service and tasty drinks. What more could you ask for? Drive thru or walk in has been pleasant and worth the money. Come here and tip the staff. They deserve it.

This property is very spacious, with an abundance of seating, both inside and outside. Staff are helpful and go the extra mile (brought my drink to my table). The Quality of the product is on par with the rest of the locations in this franchise, which means that it is excellent. Google-sponsored, free WiFi is very nice as well.
Jumped over to Starbucks drive thru because the drive thru next door at Dutch Bros was insane.
Ordered a grande oat milk latte. It was served fast, hot and tasty. The gal at the window was friendly enough without the forced conversation required at Dutch Bros. I didn't hate it.

Two Sundays in a row around 7:40ish PM
Lights are on, workers are inside and no service was provided. Waive at them and got completely ignored. If you are not going to give service just turn off the lights or give a reason why you are closed. This is bad representation of this brand.
I am actually appalled at the service last night. The coffee we ordered, we ordered with coconut milk and no whip (per dairy allergy). It came with whip which not a big deal we were just going to take it in so they could remake it. The barista, without putting gloves on or anything, took the lid and used it to scoop the whip out of the drink and hand it back. We were so flabbergasted and upset we just left. I couldn't believe that. This isn't some TikTok video, that is someone's drink. That wasn't sanitary at all. We showed up about 30 minutes to close so I'm sure they were in the process of cleaning everything, throwing trash away, etc. and she still didn't put a glove on to do what she did. But still, the drink should have been remade.

This is probably the best Starbucks in town. It’s a beautiful interior, never too slammed, great staff, and they have a few coffee masters. And they carry reserve beans.

I am giving them a bad review because the internet is terrible. I always go to starbucks because I can rely on their wifi to be able to work while I drink coffee. You can not rely on this store. For a company that is diligent on bringing the same experience to every store I am surprised they don't have the same commitment at this one.
