First impression of the staff was not good, I was actually contemplating on leaving. However I stayed so I could give some overall feed back. I'm glad I did. My eggs Benedict was great! Mum was impressed with her toasty. And the staff improved over our time there.

The customer service was pretty spot on. Its your local bar and from that perspective it was neat and clean and well maintained. The outdoor sitting can be definitely made more appealing. Good selection of sides to go with most beers.

Decent sports bar with good beers on tap. Friendly staff. Great place for an after work beer or a sneaky liquid lunch. Just be aware they do not have paywave (keeps the price of the beer down)

Once upon a time the Sunday roast was stunning both quality flavour and price. I had roast beef last sunday 23 August 2020 and was happy to pay the 25% price increase applied by the new owners. What a let down the beef tasted like leather and was sadly lacking any flavour. The Vegies were not as good as previously. I post this in the hope the owners take note and return to what was once the best roast meal in NZ. This from an ex tour bus driver who was lucky enough to eat in best restaurants in NZ
