This is our first trip to Vietnam. We had our first Vietnamese food at Sora & Umi restaurant. Grill squid is fabulous! Quite new taste for us. Ms. Phoebe provides best services and recommend us local food. For the dessert, “sweet soup” was impressive. Good try and best try for local dessert. The atmosphere of Sora & Umi is really relaxing. It takes just few minutes to beach. Both day and night are worth to take a walk.
We had an unforgettable night here. I am highly recommend this restaurant to people who travel to Phu Quoc.

I went to Phu Quoc for a week, stayed in Intercontinental. Signed up on the bed, breakfast and dinner package, thinking I would try all the available restaurants in Intercontinental.
Guess what, after our 1st dinner at Sora & Umi, I ended up eating there almost every night for a week.
They provide a wide range of Vietnamese dishes, covering northern, central and southern vietnamese style cuisine. My husband and I picked 2 dishes each person per night, after 7 dinners there are still dishes we have not tried.
Food is tasty, fresh and clean.
I have sensitive tummy, ingredients has to be fresh otherwise I fall sick immediately. I also am allergic to gluten. I notified Intercontinental in advance, the hotel internal communications must be good, the staff in Sora & Umi noted it from their system. Every night they check with the chef if the dish I ordered contains gluten, I did not have to remind them.
All staff are well trained, deal with customer questions very patiently. Among the staff members, Tu and Huyen have been attending to us for several days, great services, attention to details, I managed to remember their names and want to say that they add points to my satisfaction level rating for staying at Intercontinental.
Just to add in a bit of contrast experience, we went to the Sea Shack restaurant one night because my mum and brother want to dine by the beach. Staff are friendly but they need big improvements on training. One example, serving fruit platter without cleaning up the dinner plates on the table. This is not a 5-star hotel restaurant quality service.
If I could rate, Sora & Umi gets 9 out of 10, Sea Shack gets 3 out of 10, of the 3 points they scored 2 points been for the beach front location. Besides, their food is not fresh, within 3 hours I got tummy ache and lasted to the next day.

The food and atmosphere is phenomenal but the service of the staff is exceptional. We ordered a plate of fruit that is not part of the buffet, the restaurant service staff brought it out nicely peeled and plated. The next day, the restaurant staff, his name was Thuan, pre-made the fruit plate and waited for us to bring it out when we arrived at the restaurant. Top notched service!!!

Loved our experience at Sora & Umi. We ordered the Bun Cha, Saigon Broken Rice and Phu Quoc Egg Squid. They were all very tasty. :) The staff was very patient and taught us how to eat Bun Cha the right way.

Good food, friendly staffs. Ordered Bun Cha, Saigon broken rice, and Phu Quoc Egg Squid. The Egg Squid was sooooo good. It was slightly pricey, but considering it’s a restaurant in a resort, quite reasonable.

Good food but very price (it's in a luxury hotel so should be no suprise). Really fantastic service that are very nice and handles English quite well. No clear vegetarian options on menu but if you ash for a vegetarian menu they have a separate one and the dishes on it is a bit cheaper than the rest. Expect other hotel guests with families.
