We stayed 3 nights in a private room with 2 beds. Pros: The shower water heater worked really well, as did the air conditioning which kept the room very cool. The location was good, near the end of the town but close enough to walk to restaurants and other attractions in town. The owner and family were very helpful and so nice! Cons: The beds were not very comfortable, you could feel the hard coil springs. The bathroom didn’t have a toilet seat and there were some small ants in the room. There also was no hook to hang up your towel, I would suggest adding one somewhere in the room. Overall for the price, it was a perfectly fine place to stay a couple of nights.

I cant praise this hotel enough, the location is fantastic and the price is extremely reasonable. Riya is lovely, very good company and so friendly. She gives great advice and can tell you anything you need to know about Kratie. 10/10 recommend.

Stayed for 4 nights. Room on balcony floor. Very comfy bed with a/c. Great view from large balcony. Owner and family very friendly. Hot water was hot! Location is a bit away from the "center" but had a bicycle. Food the owner cooked was good as well. I'd stay again as I go to Kratie each trip. Meal type Breakfast
An experience to forget. The en-suite bathroom smells of sewage as there is no water seal in the basin and shower drain. Room was clean. The dining table was sticky. The owners speaks good English and friendly. Frankly, you get what you pay.

friendly and helpful staff that speak both english and french, the rooms are well maintained and the air conditioning is icy cold. you can organize tours and bike rental at the front desk and they keep a well stocked fridge with everything you could want. great atmosphere, perfect for backpackers.

Very nice guest house, and the lady running it was very kind to us and helpful. We had a private room and it was more than ok considering the price for the night. The expedition w/ dolphins was fantastic, and the guide excellent. Would recommend for a stay in kratie on a budget 👌🏻 Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Room was ok we just stayed for one night after road trip, but there was no window and no fresh air, the bed was comfy hard Asian mattress. The lady was very nice and kind. I ordered amok and it was a little disappointment because it was not amok , tasted ok with that extra msg but so far not an amok, I think usual curry taste better and this was just watery sloppy chicken soup with some onions, no coconut flavour, no lemongrass and a little ginger.. I would say low quality for expensive price, I payed 3 dollar I’m not sure about other foods they make. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch
It was for 6,3$, you want some Grand hotel or what?! It was really nice acommodation, hot (yes, hot) shower and nice owner. The prices of food was also nice and so normal. It is litle bit noisy, because of school (and they have education from 7 to 7). They offer also motorbike and buses (both per good prices) Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

The price of the room depends on how busy they are and how much experience you have with travelling in Cambodia.  I paid $6 a night for a room on the top floor with fan, which was reasonable value for Cambodia. Other people paid $10 for a similar room.  If you plan to spend a few days make sure you negotiate a good price. It's normal in Cambodia for your room to be cleaned every day but it seemed to be an inconvenience for the owner and her staff. The owner was very helpful with information when commission was available, but not so helpful for generic information. She wasn't happy when somehow she found out that I had booked directly with the bus company $10 v $13 at the guesthouse. If you don't mind loud kids (owners) listening to YouTube at full volume on their phones then you might enjoy eating or drinking here albeit in a  dark environment which makes no use of the riverside setting. If you're awake for sunrise make sure you climb the ladder (from the balcony on the top floor) to the roof where you can, if you're lucky get an amazing sunrise.  Sunset is from the balcony on the top floor. If you make a wee bit of an effort and make use of Google translate and lens, it's not too difficult to deal direct with the minivans/minibuses. I paid $10 to Kampong Thom on the Siem Reap minibus. My guesthouse charged $13. They pay their staff $3-$4 per pay (plus meals). Heng Heng II has rooms for $8 and Oudom Sambath Hotel for $7 if you can't get a good rate. Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
