The cooking lesson was great and we made a delicious curry. It's definitely worth it, not just to learn from Shirani and its family, but also to discover new flavors and techniques. Food is incredibly tasty, but it's even better when you know how to cook it. If you just go to eat or take a lesson, it's a great experience. Here, I tried truly delicious curry. One of the main things is that the dish is moderately spicy, and this spiciness doesn't overpower the main flavor. The portions are huge, we ordered curry for two and barely managed to finish it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The best crab curry and the curry sauce was out of this world fresh, warming, coconutty a lil spice. We went the day before to order in the crab as its a special. The prawn and veg curry also a really really goooood. Amazingly worth it and a meal ill remember for a long old time. Came here 7 years ago for the first time, tried many Sri Lankan style curries since then, and simply put, you can't get them any better than at Lala's and his wonderful wife's joint. The food is amazing (get veg curry and don't complicate it too much), the hosts are lovely, and overall it's just a really nice local dinner experience. Seriously, must try (and keep coming back). I visited with my husband in December end of 2023 , we use to have the authentic rice n various curries every day . The curries were fresh and tasty . We also took cooking class and she prepared oyster curry on demand . The couple is very helpful and polite . Thankyou for the hospitality . Will soon be back in Srilanka ! 5/5. Small menu card but food is delicious. Home made and comes out fast. Very kind family that runs the restaurant. Was being ‘tricked’ by the jack fruit curry, tasted like tender meat! Alcohol is not being served. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The tastiest Sri Lankan good we have had on our trip. We had fish & chicken curry. Both were delicious and we had 6 sides of wonderful sambal, mango chutney & some kind of amazing carmelized onion dish. The owner Lala and his wife are a great team.
