This is as the name implies, more of a coffee joint than an eating joint. The menu bears witness as it has 2 pages of food menu while more than 6 pages of drinks menu. The decor is cafe like and exudes a comfortable vibe to dine at.
Ordered a few drinks which tasted ok. Nothing stupendous. The food menu, though limited, was varied enough in difference for you to make a meaningful choice.
As far as rate goes, I loved the unagi bento. The gravy, the protein, the vegetables mixed well to give the palate an enjoyable feast of flavours. The cute bite sized fried oyster mushrooms was fun and tasty to munch in between your meal.
The dumpling or wan tan was a little hard. There's a difference between crispy and hard and here, it veers towards hard. The filling however is tasty. The laksa is also not hitting mark. Watery with very light taste of the soup makes it miss the expected zing and punch of the traditional laksa flavour.
Fortunately, their spaghetti, on the other hand was done well. The gravy was silky, creamy and delicious. Sadly, it was a bit light in it's accompanying add ons but tastewise yummy. As for the miso noodle soup, I loved it. Lightly salty, smooth tasty soup. Well balanced flavour, and good amount of veg and protein in it.

I saw the complain reviews, but I went on Monday for lunch around 11.30am, It was good not really crowded.

As i walked in, A took a seat myself at the in front of the window.A woman brings me the menu and told me to order at counter once I decided.
Ordered an Unagi Don and Ice cube Matcha Au Lait.Order from the barista, not sure if he's the boss but,he knew detail about beverage, for food mostly based on Kitchen crews.
Beverage took around 5-10 mins, looks pretty good, taste are just like imagined, what impressed me are the way it slowly melted in the milk, so it's not always too cold that sometimes the matcha gets too bitter.Great thought on this,I like it.
Food are slightly longer time taken around 20min, with around 4 other tables being served.
But, Unagi Don are worth the wait, It blends well with other sides. Teriyaki sauce with the rice ,then everything abit in 1 mouth except the baby corn. The crunchy of the unagi was superb, like little things tingling my taste bud, tho i realize unagi it's raw taste are not strong enough, But look at bright side the greasiness controlled very well.After that the sides taste kick in,the savory with ending of the teriyaki sweetness and sesame smell.Brilliant!
Baby corn itself separately are good, the smoked but not over grilled makes it a contrast to the rest refreshed my taste bud, open up the appetite very fast.
So, Unagi Don I myself, Recommended 👍
Environment goes with woodtheme, like a semi modern cafe feel, Gotta say I'm impressed with the lighting, It's very great for taking pictures.
Music fits well, creating classic cafe relaxing ambient.I enjoyed it.
Service I say somewhere between Good and Average.But, not sure if it's included or they didn't charge, they did not have service charge when I paid. So, even if I had to do everything myself I say it's pretty fair for the price given on the Menu.Not a big deal.🤝
Overall I saw it's one of the best in Bukit Mertajam Alma.Will come again with family.😊

I was meeting up with friend for lunch so I search and browse through nearby cafe on the map and found this place. The food photos looks so interesting that didn’t notice it’s vegetarian until I read some reviews.
The funniest part is , I didn’t realize this cafe operate in a double storey house and though gps brought me to the wrong location 😂
Overall I like the cozy environment, and the food looks and taste nice. I like the matcha and dessert too. Really nice to have a vegetarian friendly cafe.

The environment is cozy and photogenic. The only downside is the space is not so spacious with not so many tables (upstairs is residential area). The food is good, we ordered pink sauce pasta and pesto pasta and we like the taste and the portion given is decent too. They provide WiFi as well.

The barbecue mushroom sandwich was a personal favourite. The atmosphere is lovely. Some of the seating spaces can get very hot because there isn't much breeze or air conditioning at that specific spots. Around 3.30 p.m. & later, there is less congestion.

Family-style cafe with home-like atmosphere. The pasta is delicious and its portion is reasonable with respect to the pricing. The sides are good too but the drinks are slightly on the more expensive end. Need to remove your shoes before entering the cafe. Since it is located in a residential neighbourhood, cars can only be parked by the roadside. Highly recommended for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike to try it out!
