First time I have been that. Food we had was excellent and good value. Sat out of deck and was very quiet, not busy. Service was good and friendly. This place is a gem hidden in plain sight. We drove past it a few times before. Inside it's marvelous, the play are for the kids is well laid out, the swimming pool is nice and clean. Wheelchair friendly setup with good ramps. In the shop is a big variety of curious and decorations. The food is delicious and the chocolate cake will give you diabetes as it is so good, you want another piece. Friendly staff. 100% for effort Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person R 100–150 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Beautiful park for kids and two clean and well maintained swimming pools, with the kiddie pool being separated by a secure gate. Very clean and well looked after grass and braai area with neat picnic benches and shade. It's definitely worth the visit. Also what you see in the pictures of the place is what you get, not old photos trying to lure your attention. Visited the coffee shop there twice during our stay in Marina and sadly both times there were issues getting the order right or accurate at the restaurant, even when they weren't busy. (example on the first order, two chocolate and two strawberry milkshakes... Becomes 3 chocolate and 1 strawberry) Also spoke to another table who was complaining that they can't get the orders accurate. Was kind of awkward as we had just arrived 😂 They have a good menu, very standard coffee shop type menu, decent food for the price. And although there is a little struggle remembering orders, the staff was really friendly and polite though so we accepted the orders and moved on.

We go here often for breakfast, the food is fresh and delicious and the service is always with a smile and a joke. Delicious cappuccinos as well! Prices are very reasonable too. I highly recommend it for a yummy breakfast.

Had the unfortunate experience of booking at Sherwood Forest. Could not believe that the place is open to guests. Drive way was unkempt. The garden furniture was dirty. Surely this could have been cleaned knowing that guests were expected. The curtains were filthy. Bed linen untidy. A staff member came to the cottage with 5litre bottles of water...I understand that the south coast has a water problem but we were told that we need to make water hot and fill the bath when we need to bath. This was not disclosed to us prior to booking. The overall appearance of the place was shocking. It would be nice if the owner of the place actually did regular inspections especially prior to accepting guests. The pictures on the site are very different from the actual place. Very disappointing experience.

Beautiful garden and pool plus great burgers and chips. Staff is wonderful to work with. We’ve had many of my children’s parties here and it’s always good time. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

Such a lovely place to have a picnic. Geared for the small and big kids. They have a large and small swimming pool, a playground area for the smaller kids and table tennis, darts and pool fir the older kids. We went there and it was pouring with rain but they have an undercover area where you can still picnic even if it wet outside. The staff are very friendly and full of smiles. Really enjoyed my visit there.
