Great addition the service is great, food is amazing, and adding the Yemeni bread (Rashoosh) is the best idea and also the Yemeni smoothie (Fakhfakheenah) it’s the first time I find these items and they actually almost identical to what you would get at the restaurants in Yemen.
So if you haven’t tried this place I’d absolutely encourage you to do so, I drove one hour to it and it was well worth it.

First time with Yemeni food. Wasn’t sure what to get so go chicken sub(it was more like a wrap in Yemeni bread) which was pretty good. It tasted like roasted chicken. Will try a rice dish next time Inshaallah. Stuff was very friendly and answered all the questions I asked about the food. They also let me do my salah in the corner. Lots to tables available to dine. They also have some private tables too. Parking is the only issue. Street parking only. Thank you.

First time having Yemeni food. This is definitely a unique experience!
This restaurant doesn't shy away from offering unabashedly authentic dishes, even if I suspect they would intimidate many Americans.
The breakfast dish pictured is eaten using hands. The flavor combination is somewhat similar to other Middle Eastern countries, but in my experience, it's sufficiently distinct to pique my curiosity. The tea is heavily cardamom flavored.
Looking at the menu, they have many liver based dishes. I am a little afraid to try them because I'm not a big fan of liver flavors, but it seems to pop up in the menu often, and it seems to be one of their staples? It's probably worth a try. Maybe they have mastered it?
The other dishes on the menu also look very interesting and distinct. They are not something you see in most restaurants. In fact, I cannot imagine more than a sparse handful of places across the entire US where you can find this selection.
I would say if you want to try something new, this is the place.
The owner was very nice.
They have beautiful images from Yemen decorating the walls and play acapella Quran recitations in the background, so that combines with the different flavors to transport you elsewhere. It's almost as if I'm in another country.
This sense of exploration is what I value enormously, and I believe to be one of the great pleasures of dining.
Therefore, Sheba earns five stars without reservation.

My friends and I had a wonderful time at Sheba. The food was succulent, authentic, and validated by my Yemeni friend. We tried a variety of dishes, all Halal, and we were extremely satisfied. Do NOT miss out on the Lamb Haneeth and make sure you to try the bread and the Adeni Chai! The staff were super friendly, and cheerful. It is a family-run restaurant and they were beyond sweet. If you get a chance, say thank you to the wonderful Chef and take some local sweets to-go! If available, you should try to sit in the Yemeni floor seating area, where you can also pray (they have rugs). I have been to many Yemeni restaurants across America, and this is the best one I have been to 10/10 recommend

Food was amazing, the people running the restaurant were very nice.
I got the liver with hummus, sooo good! I’ve only had liver at home and this was 1,000 times better.
We got it with Yemeni bread and tea, the tea was very sweet but everything was delicious. Definitely coming back to try more of the menu!

Menu prices are not accurate. They overcharge for dishes by 3 dollars. The menu states that each dish comes with rice, potato stew, and a salad. However when we paid the bill, we realized he charged us for all these sides in addition to the price. When asked, he replied that it’s just service charges.
The lamb haneeth is a very small portion, I wonder what the small labm haneeth would look like. The fahsah comes with bread (see menu) but still they charged us for bread.
Don’t come here, thats all. Crooks.

"Saba Restaurant is marvelous and distinguished, definitely worth a visit. They offer a wide variety of delicious and appetizing dishes, and their prices are extremely reasonable. Compared to others, their prices are also quite attractive. Their cooking quality is so high that it makes you want to visit them multiple times. I truly recommend everyone to pay them a visit."

As a Yemeni myself I’m very critical when it comes to Yemeni restaurants, this one here is the best one in the Bay Area by far! Highly recommend the fish, fresh baked bread, and eggs with beans!
