I recently had the pleasure of visiting Shay’s Donuts on Virginia in Dutchtown in South City. The warmth and sweetness from the owner made it awesome to support this local business. The cheesecake donut was nothing short of scrumptious, with its perfect balance of creamy filling and fluffy pastry. I came for a bite of a donut but I ate an entire donut. Oooppppppsssss! This spot is in a challenging neighborhood! Let's rally behind this wonderful establishment and surrounding neighborhood and show them the love and support they truly deserve. What a sweet treat to have in our neighborhood!! Shay is such a nice guy and works hard to provide us with delicious donuts and breakfast sandwiches. He also has a lunch menu so give him a try..

They have some really good donuts here! The shop has no signs except a small sidewalk sign advertising Breakfast and Lunch and no posted hours. Inside there are no posted prices. The Old Fashioned was a little dry and I wouldn't recommend. The rest were great, though. Rough neighborhood, be careful!

It ought to just be called Shay's because there is a LOT more than coffee and donuts. It's got filling meals, candy, snacks, ice cream, snow cones, cigars, and a beautiful drink selection! And--best part yet--a sense of pride and community. My first time here, one guy came out and swept up some litter. A couple people were chatting while their food was cooking. And when my dude and I sat in the patio seating, the guy sweeping had a conversation with a pedestrian. Then, someone from inside came out, and then everyone started working on the tiny garden in front, inspiring my dude to pitch in. (It's happening while I write this.) So, come to Shay's to satisfy your hunger and meet your neighbors. : )

Amazing food!!! Stooped today because i saw their signs for Soul Food Sunday and was blown away with portion and taste! Had the Turkey Wings, Macaroni and Cheese and Red Beans and Rice and huge portions and so good!

NEVER OPEN, OPEN AND CLOSE WHEN HE WANTS TOO. OVERPRICED, GOT ROACHES, AND DONUTS ARE NOT FRESHLY MADE WITHIN..... AND WONDER WHY WE DONT SUPPORT OUR OWN! YALL DO NOT CONDUCT BUSINESS ACCORDINGLY Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
