I saw this cafe on my first morning in Turks and Caicos but it was around 10a and every outside table was taken. Popular! I decided to come around opening time at 0700 the next day. I was promptly greeted by who I found out was the owner. He opened the door, handed me a menu and explained the ordering process. I decided to have the French Toast (made from a Jamaican bread) and eggs over easy on the side with a latte. The owner is very talkative to all of the customers, is attentive to what’s going on and gives recommendations for the island. The food was good (latte had a little too much water added) and there is plenty of room to sit outside (if you go early enough). The staff, like I’ve experienced all around the island, were very friendly and gracious. A good find. Absolutely thrilled with our experience at Shay Cafe's breakfast! This hidden gem deserves every bit of a five-star rating. The highlight of our mornings was undoubtedly the oat latte. It was a delightful blend of creamy texture and rich flavor that left us craving more. The expertise and care put into crafting this beverage truly set Shay Cafe apart. Moreover, the customer service at Shay Cafe was consistently on point. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went the extra mile to ensure our comfort. Their warm hospitality added a wonderful touch to the overall dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food – nothing short of spectacular. What speaks volumes about our satisfaction is the fact that we found ourselves at Shay Cafe every morning during our stay. The consistency in quality, paired with the inviting ambiance, made it the perfect start to our day. It became a ritual we eagerly looked forward to, and Shay Cafe delivered each time. We highly recommend Shay Cafe for breakfast. From the amazing oat latte to the impeccable customer service and spectacular food, this spot has earned its place as a top choice in our book. If you're looking for a breakfast haven, Shay Cafe is the place to be. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Breakfast Potatoes
The bacon egg and cheese croissant was tasty. Served piping hot. The service was great and staff friendly. We sat outside where there is plenty of seating and in the shade with nice breeze. Definitely would eat here again and try something new. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Sandwich
Our favorite breakfast restaurant on the island! We highly recommend the fruit oatmeal with cinnamon, we look forward to it every vacation. The coffee is delicious. After breakfast I always get an iced coffee to go. The staff is always helpful and friendly. There is a nice covered exterior patio for seating. Our first breakfast stop in Turks and Caicos. We were immediately greeted by the owner, who was super friendly and shared his story of why he moved from Canada to T & C to open a business. I love interactions like this! Now on to the food. The crepes were delightful and the pancakes rich with flavor. My strawberry smoothie was yummy + filling. This cafe is a hub for the locals. You will see why when you go! Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The staff was very nice. They are very attentive and the food was decent. I wish I would’ve taken a picture of the food on my first visit but it was too good to wait 😂. On my first visit I had the “Cesar beacon and chicken wrap” and my wife had a “ham and cheese panini”. The first day Herb the owner greeted every customer and engage in simple conversations. So we went back the next day and I felt like he was avoiding us, so I went ahead and reintroduced myself 🤣. And I understood why this gentleman did come to us a second day, because he tells everybody the same thing about how his business survives off of the locals who live on the island but 90% of the people on both days where tourist! I’m hoping after he reads this he’ll work on some new material to tell people 🤣. He just keeps telling himself another in paradise but that’s not the feeling you get from him 🤣. On the second visit we had the 🥞 and the pizza🍕. The pizza to me personal tasted frozen and the tomato sauce was awful. When I taste the pancakes I can agree with most of the reviews of them, they were dry. The owner after reintroducing myself, noticed that I didn’t eat the other half of the pizza and didn’t even ask but decided to get one himself. I even offered him half just to see his reaction. My suggestion to anyone visiting this establishment to look around and see what everyone else is having. That way you know your not getting an item on the menu that’s been sitting in the back for a long time. Also my wife and I do agree that they have the worst coffee by far in any vacation destination. I hope my review helps! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Paninis

Horrible. A basic order of a couple of coffees turned into a fiasco. First, they could not answer if they had Splenda. Literally two people didn't understand what I was asking for. They didn't have it. Then we waited for a coffee which went to the wrong table because they gave us the wrong number to place on the table. Finally, when it arrived it was horrible. Just all bad. Go next door, there are a couple of great spots that actually k ow what the heck they are doing. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Awesome place for breakfast for everyone. Great coffee, great staff, great location. Very friendly. Vegan options too! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Very extensive menu, vegetarian / vegan friendly, reasonably priced both by island and mainland standards. The staff is friendly and the owner is there overseeing the operations. Card (only?) accepted. Food was average- pancakes were cooked on too high heat so they separated, crepes were a good consistency but nothing special about the filling - literally just fruit, eggs benny were well cooked but bland. They have "hot" sauces if you want them, but they basically taste like watered down vinegar (not sure if that's common for Texas Pete so YMMV).
