The staff was nice and greeted me at the door. They were very attentive and made sure that I had everything I needed. I have the Vegetable Samosas for appetizer, and the Lamb Vindaloo for dinner. I would say the food was good, but not spectacular which is why the 4 stars. It is a good choice if you are looking for Indian food in Sioux Falls, but not a must stop the next time in town. The service is always good and the food comes quickly! Food is fantastic and affordable, this is one of our favorite meal spots in Sioux Falls. Indian food suited to American palette. Mango lassi was A bit too sour. Saag paneer was good but chicken Tikka masala was bad. samosas and paneer pakora were good, chicken and fish pakora were flavourless Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We stopped at shahi india grill for lunch while traveling. Overall Food was decent taste. We ordered spicy but the food was mild. Also, didn’t find much difference in lunch special portions vs dinner portions though price is 3-4$ difference. We ordered vegetable biryani, tandoori chicken, chicken curry, naan, Chana masala. We went for lunch, and it was a fantastic experience. I had garlic naan, and it was nicely cooked! I also made an order for chicken tikka masala, and it was seasoned to perfection. We additionally ordered chicken briyani, and it was also good! The staff was very attentive, and I highly appreciated their service and friendliness. With do many vegetarian options it is hard to choose and our dishes came out to share at the table. Nothing was too spicy even with medium. The mango lassi may be one of the best things I have ever drank. At $4 it is super cheap and way tastier than it has any right to be. Can't wait to go back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great food but the service was severely lacking. The hostess was sweet when we arrived but for the rest of our meal the servers were rude and standoffish. Our appetizer, soup, and main course came out at the same time. We had to flag down our waitress for refills and a check. I think we were forgotten because they were hosting a big party. Well, I have never ever had Indian food in my life until the other day. On a previous business trip one of our customers is Indian and as things go we started talking about restaurants in that area to try and Indian was one of the choices. I shared that I never tried it so I wouldn’t know what to try and was open for recommendations. I didn’t try it on that trip but now with a few recommendations I was ready for the next time I found a good place. So on this last trip there was Shahi Palace a very short distance from my hotel. I did a takeout order of Butter Chicken, spicy. It cleared my sinuses but didn’t torture my tastebuds and the rest of my mouth. Sadly there are no photos as it was a takeout order so pics wouldn’t look as nice as in the restaurant. I really liked the Butter Chicken and Naan. Nice meal. Well, the weather took a turn for the worse and my flight was delayed again and again. So my hotel stay was extended. I had to venture out and send some packages back at a UPS store and then after a while on the phone with the airlines I decided to eat in and went down to the restaurant. This time I ordered the meal for one which was more than plenty. Appetizer, entree’ & naan and dessert and tea. Very nice meal at a very nice price. I did snap some photos this time. Tikka Masala was fantastic as well but my favorite so far was the Butter Chicken. Very friendly and attentive staff, several people checked on me regularly. Highly recommend.
