To taste perfectly cooked prawns, tuna and coleslaw is a really good idea. Good key lime pie and tasty fruitcake are the tastiest dishes. This place is known for delicious bellini, wine or martinis. Great coffee is served - try and enjoy. Choose between indoor and outdoor seating. The success of this bar would be impossible without the attentive staff. Enjoyable service is something that people highlight in their reviews. A number of reviewers mention that prices are affordable for what you receive. I have lived in Bellingham for 24 years and eaten at just about every restaurant in town, but this was my first time to Scotty Brown’s. I really wanted to like this place, but I was underwhelmed with the service, the food and the atmosphere. The service wasn’t exactly bad, but, it was slow and impersonal. I waited 20 minutes after I stopped eating for the waitress to come by and ask if everything was OK and if I wanted a box and my check, and the place was only at about 10% capacity. And there was no eye contact from my wait service my entire visit, very inexperienced or untrained in my opinion. I ordered the blackened chicken fettuccine alfredo, and it tasted very salty, like what I might expect from Applebee’s or TGI Friday. And the atmosphere is trying very very hard to be upscale, but it’s just average inside. Everyones opinion is relative, but my overall impression is, I would never bring a date here, and I would never choose to come back here, I would only come back if I was invited in a group situation. There are too many other places that have way better food and way better service and way better atmosphere for this price point. My total bill with tax, food and one drink was almost $45 at lunch. Came here for dinner last week before seeing a movie. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but the food wasn’t amazing and was quite overpriced in my opinion. Pretty much The However, our waitress was nice and attentive! The ahi salad was alright, but pretty expensive for a salad with a few tiny slivers of fish, and the combination of ahi and tomatoes in a salad together was a little weird. Our drinks were also subpar - ordered doubles and they were extremely weak in flavor and alcohol content (like a single shot with extra water added). This was our first time to a Scottie Brown's and I was all prepared to hate it since I don't like chain restaurants. I really liked this place. The ambience was comfortable and upbeat, the service was on point and food was very good. I had the soup and salad combo. Tomato basil soup and cowboy salad which were both very good. My husband had the fish tacos which he really enjoyed. We went mid week to an early dinner but it seems like it could be lively, fun and loud. I would recommend going here. LOVED THE VIBE OF THIS PLACE 🙏 It was my first time eating here with my Girlfriend and we both had a great time and LOVED the food. The atmosphere was great and felt very business casual and a great spot to meet up and have a drink or eat with some friends or even come and have a nice dinner. I would highly recommend. This is one of the best places to visit in Bellingham! Very good atmosphere, clean, and featured controlled outdoor dining! - customer service was good!, the food was good, and fresh, the cod was tender and tasty, with delicious batter, the fries were so good! Tarter sauce and ketchup were just right. - The draft Lager beer was really good and very smooth, it compliments the food very well. - The restrooms were extremely clean and featured a TV above both urnls. 100/100 recommend this place! Great place to go and watch any type of sports ball. Lots of TVs, and individuals are typically engaged and hoop and hollering for their teams. Definitely recommend if you want to watch a game by yourself at the bar or at a table with your crew. Service is great, quick, and friendly. Food is surprisingly good for a sports bar. Love the food and the atmosphere. Service can be a little slow. Took a little long for us to be greeted once we were at our table. We asked for just a couple more minutes when deciding on our order, and it was nearly 10 minutes before the server returned to us. The food was excellent, though. Love the location too. Update: 3/3/24: Service is still slow. I had to ask multiple times for a take out box, and my husband never got his soda refill. In fact, I think it was given to another person in our party in lieu of their drink. Food is still good, it's not cheap, but most places aren't nowadays. This is my first time here since they moved and pre-pandemic. The building is great there is an outside protected place semi closed in with heaters. The food is delicious. And they have a sangria with Prosecco that is delicious. The menu it doesn’t look gluten-free but they say they can make almost anything gluten-free. And I had a delicious potato crusted cod that was gluten-free. I can’t wait to go here again Service Dine in Price per person $30–50

After hearing all of the hype I was more than a little disappointed. We were there at 4:50pm and the restaurant was about 1/3 full. The service was extremely slow. I ordered the French dip. The baguette was excellent but that is more or less the end of good side. The roast beef dry, flavorless, and the toughest I can remember getting in a restaurant. It is hard for me to understand how an establishment can knowingly serve that level of beef. It was so tough you could not bite through and most of it ended up out of the sandwich and on the plate. The au jus was the only flavor involved. No French fry was longer than two inches and they were cold. It must be hard to find potatoes that small. In addition the atrium is perhaps the noisiest restaurant area I've been in. Much louder than Anthony's and there is also all the noise of two city streets. My mother and I came here for lunch and had the Cesar salad, fries and burger. Our food was great and surpassed our expectations. The burger was cooked exactly to my liking and the French fries tasted like they were made from fresh potatoes. I have to shout out the bartender, she was the only one working the bar top, bar area and making drinks for the whole restaurant and yet she was very attentive and sweet. So thank you! Service was great, food was great - definitely add this place to your list to check out!
