Schwartz's is a delightful addition to San Francisco's bakery shops; in downtown Olympia, nestled within three blocks, it offers another choice– there are three diverse options for bakery goods with a coffee shop ambiance. Each spot is unique, catering to different tastes, though I find myself appreciating aspects of all of them.
As for Schwartz's in downtown Olympia, it is an inviting venue, albeit one I frequent slightly less often. It exudes the typical downtown Olympia vibe for a coffee shop, offering a smaller bakery selection than you might find at its flagship store or the farmer's market.
However, it's a lovely place to have in the area. On my visits, I'm particularly fond of their choice to carry Batdorf & Bronson coffee—a personal favorite of mine, but I enjoy some other local coffee. Olympia is fortunate to have excellent coffee options; the barista often makes all the difference. Occasionally, I also pop in for a sandwich.
Overall, Schwartz's is a beautiful spot for grabbing coffee, a bagel, a few pastries, or indulging in a sandwich.
