Walking near the canal and we were looking for fresh seafood. Lots of restaurants in the area, but many were closed due to the midday hour. Looked at one that had the most ratings but not all good. Decided on this little place which was extremely unassuming and extremely friendly! We ordered the cheese plate for five euros and totally worth it! We had beer and some garlic shrimp, which I could have ordered five portions. It was delicious and wonderful to share with a beautiful view of the canal. You could fall asleep in your chair. It was so relaxing. Super friendly staff, super clean bathrooms, delicious ice cold beer. Hit the spot on this hot hot day. Stayed for a couple of hours. Perfect spot ! The staff members are nice, helpful in English as well. The place is clean and the food is very tasty and big portions. We tried 3 different dishes and all were good (only the Bacalhao missing to be perfect as it was too much oil in it). The Franchesinha sandwich is a huuuge dish as it has ham, sausage and grilled meat slice as well, baked in the toast bread with cheese, egg and in a lot of tasty sauce :). The only one negative thing is that we had to wait 70 minutes to get the food and they didn't tell it in advance, otherwise we could walk a bit after ordering. It's a nice place and the food I tried was good. I ordered wine (2,5€) and dish (7,5€). Amazing quality for the price. But they brought me extra things that I have never asked for (first picture): cheese, pate, olives, and butter. I thought it was included in the dish price, but then instead of 10€ I was charged 18€. They didn't charge olives, because I didn't eat them though. Be careful at this place. I left very upset and confused.

This restaurant should not only 4.0 stars. The octopus is fabulous, the garlic shrimp is great as well. the french fries stick with garlic shrimp source are nice🥳 The service is also great
