At peak hour, the minimum waiting time for menu-ordered food was 30 minutes which made us go for cabinet food. We love the salmon bagel and pizza. The taste of the roasted vegetable frittata was not bad. The coffee with vanilla had captured our souls. Very good service and attention. I like the coffee. That sells a cafe for me. If you can't make a good coffee, why bother? Service was smooth despite a hectic morning of tourists. We bought sanwiches, not a full breakfast, but they were good takeaway lunches. I'll be back for my cappuccino again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Coffee was excellent. Yet to try other coffee around here so can't say it's the best but definitely one of the better ones in South Island. I ordered the steak sandwich while my partner ordered the corn fritters. There is ALOT of corn in the fritters and some chili too. So avoid if you can't take the heat. Price was up towards the mid-high end mark but I guess it's the normal price around here. Will come back for other things on the menu if there's time. Excellent café for getting your daily fix of caffeine, or brekkie to kickstart your day. The line to order can get a bit long, but it usually goes quick. However the kitchen or coffee station may not be able to keep up with the orders, as we were informed the food would take up to 30 minutes to arrive. (however it did arrive after just 5 min). I personally highly recommend the hash brown stack. It's got hash browns, bacon, poached eggs, and a bunch of other goodies. And it's affordable too! Coffee is decent. Ordered the toast and breakfast. Taste is good, portion is great. The cafe has sooooo many patrons that it felt stressful eating in there & as I was at a side seat near to the door. Stopped by for breakfast. Had the hot smoked salmon bagel (amazingly good - the salmon was so flavorful and was warm (capers with it too). Bagel had pumpkin seeds on it and cream cheese was very good too) and the big breakfast (very tasty, large amount of food). Also had the kiwi berry smoothie which was nice and refreshing. Got an earl grey with milk and a latte as well. It’s a cute place with character. Reasonably priced. The service was exceptional too very friendly staff. Shoutout to Rachel! I believe she mentioned it’s woman owned with a woman chef too so that’s extra cool. Me and a friend had lunch here after tramping the 4-day Kepler Track. We had rain on the last day and were absolutely soaked and so decided to treat ourselves to lunch at Sandfly. It was really good! The Chef's salad (with bacon and feta) was delicious, the large breakfast was big and the carrot cake was a pleasant surprise! Pancakes are OK. There was a little bug in the salad, however! Super yummy breakfast and the butterscotch latte was perfect! Loved the hash brown stack eggs Benedict as the toast/bread is my least favourite part and this comes on hash browns instead! Ate here both days we were in Te Anau we liked it so much. Friendly staff that was efficient and quick to get food and coffees out. We had breakfast two days (mousetraps and iced lattes) and lunch two days (chicken Brie sandwich for takeaway and venison burger dine in), all great and affordable food. We arrived early and the place was packed. They were very organised with a person taking coffee orders on a portable iPad which was a good idea. I would imagine it’s a matter of making hay while the sun shines in a tourist town like this. However, I was unimpressed with the eggs benedict order that I had to order a side of spinach (why can’t it come with spinach like most eggs bene?) which cost an extra $7 (see photo). It wouldn’t have looked so miserly if they’d either presented it on a smaller plate or supplied more of it. Presentation is not their strong point and even a swirl of balsamic glaze would improve the boring looking meal. A comment to the manager about the cost of the spinach was met with a shrug of the shoulders…. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
