The Lamb Biryani stole the show with its aromatic blend of spices and tender chunks of lamb. For appetizers, the Hummus Belahma was a smooth and flavorful delight. The creamy texture of the hummus paired harmoniously with the hint of spice from the belahma topping. To complement the savory feast, I opted for the Iced Lemon Tea. It served as a refreshing palate cleanser, balancing the richness of the dishes. The ambiance of Sahara Tent Restaurant is a blend of warmth and authenticity. The intricate decor, coupled with the soft glow of ambient lighting, creates a welcoming atmosphere. The attentive staff added to the overall dining pleasure, ensuring that every aspect of the experience was memorable. Food was good (lentil soup was really good) and service was fast - maybe because it was still early for dinner (6.30 pm) and there was practically no one else there. Love the ambience. The overall layout was nice - a variety of seating arrangements to suit patrons - individual/couple/groups of various sizes. We decided to give this place a try as a Sunday lunch treat. The ambiance is really excellent with the Moorish set up. There are even the special tables where you can dine like an Arabian night setup. The staff are decent, attentive and there is a small language barrier as they speak minimal English. But we were able to convey the orders properly. The falafel were fried to perfection, matched perfectly with the hummus. The bamya (lamb stew with okra) was decent, probably needed some more gravy to enjoy with the white rice. The shrimp briyani was a bit dry and lacking the potent briyani spice for the rice. Not enough gravy as well. The shish taouk (chicken kebab) was the star of all the dishes served. The chicken was grilled perfectly complemented with the toasted flatbread and vegetables. The sayadiah (grilled Greek fish) was dry as well and needed more moisture in the fish. Even though it was grilled, the flavour profile was still present and maintained the softness also. The Arabic tea was bland with inadequate flavour. The fruit juices were decent. Pricing was moderately expensive. But, it's worth the visit for the ambiance set up. I’m obsessed with Middle eastern cuisine all the time, an opportunity to stay around so just give it a try, the vibe is real great! I love how their decorations directly linked to their cultural background. We’ve ordered quite a few different dishes for lunch, chicken kebab, lamb shank stew with bread soaked in, fried eggplant and hummus with lamb. The food was all great, eggplant was flavorful which brings out the flavor perfectly. Lamb stew taste not bad, but the bread soaked in wasn’t a good idea as we didn’t feel like rice hence we weren’t able to finish it. Suggest you can get lamb stew with rice aside. At the end we also get some desserts, their milk kinda chocolate dessert and the classic banana split. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 20–40

Been hunting them for the past 2 decades. Off Bukit Bintang, Alamanda etc; keep changing locations. The food was very good, but I noticed it has localized over time (taste & cost). There are 2 entrances. The outside entrance looks dodgy, narrow stairs and looks like a storage area. The inside entrance is nicer. Interior concept barely changed from the old days. There is plenty of space between tables. Food is generally good, with more variety over time. I would have preferred if they kept the menu simple and closer to their roots as when they first started. We order the chicken kebab, mandy rice, fatoush and chocolate ice. The chicken kebab taste so good, chicken was tender and moist. I really enjoy it. Chicken Mandy Rice also taste good. The chicken very tender and juicy. So good to eat Fatoush was okay for me. Over all I'm very satisfied with the food that they served me during my visit. The Staff also very friendly and good. Place was clean and neat. For sure will come again to eat the chicken Kebab Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Was there on my birthday 15/3/2022. Had chicken kabsa and Arabian tea. Both are good. Worth the money spent. Atmosphere at 2.30pm is really what I wanted. Not crowded but some of the tables are occupied. It could be busy during weekends or break hours I guess. I may visit again with my family and friends. There is no service tax. You pay the menu price. Things to improve, it says wait till you be seated but no waiter approached me until I walked in and asked if I could sit there.

I just managed to try the lamb stew with white rice. The mutton is soft and tender. There is no milky smell at all. There is small vegetable in the pot tht looked like eggplant. I am not sure wht it is but it is nice too. The price is also cheaper for the main course. I will try more dishes in next trip and see if can give 5 stars. At the moment, it is a nice try for those who love Arabian food.
